Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), a fierce critic of the Biden regime’s coziness with Iran, sought to draw attention to a bombshell alleging the existence of “an extensive Iranian regime influence operation” involving administration officials.
In a post to X, formerly known as Twitter, the Lone Star State Republican urged people to catch the latest edition of his podcast “The Verdict” where he broke down the explosive details that were revealed in a pair of reports by Semafor and Iran International about the officials linked to disgraced Iran envoy Robert Malley who recently had his security clearance revoked for murky reasons.
“There’s breaking news that the Biden administration had three operatives for Iran working in senior national security positions helping set the Biden administration’s policies on Iran,” he said.
“These are individuals who were recruited by the ayatollah and the tyrannical government of Iran. They were working for Iran. They were in regular communications with the government of Iran asking what Iran wanted them to do and this is who the Biden administration put in critical decision-making roles on national security,” Cruz added.

“It just broke that three officials linked to the Biden administration were taking instructions from the Iranian regime,” the senator wrote in another post to X on Wednesday. “This is a stunning revelation, but the corrupt corporate media is trying to bury the story.”

Cruz, who sits on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, would go on to spend a lengthy amount of time breaking down the Semafor report with co-host Ben Ferguson, describing it as “one of the most shocking stories I’ve seen ever” and noting that it won’t be covered by the corporate media.
After the stories broke, Senator Cruz called for an immediate halt in the administration’s “secret Iran negotiations” in a statement posted to his website on Tuesday.
“These reports and the emails they expose are indescribably troubling. When Joe Biden was elected, the Iranian regime’s nuclear program was in a box, their economy was on the brink of collapse, and their oil exports had cratered. President Biden and Biden officials have allowed the regime to get within reach of a nuclear arsenal, restore their economy, and export millions of barrels per day of oil worth hundreds of billions of dollars,” Cruz said.
“They have agreed to secret nuclear side deals that are being kept from Congress, including ransom deals worth additional billions of dollars. They have implemented these policies while regime officials, including the Ayatollah’s hand-picked President, continue to openly brag about trying to murder former American officials,” the statement read. “Americans have rightly been asking why the Biden administration is so friendly with the Iranian regime, and why Biden administration officials have so single-mindedly enabled Iranian nuclear progress and terrorism. These reports and emails suggest a vast Iranian influence operation that goes to the very top of the administration.”
“The Biden administration should immediately cease its secret diplomacy with Iran and its dismantling of sanctions, and any officials linked to these emails should immediately have their security clearances pulled until these allegations are fully resolved and accountability is imposed,” the statement concluded.
