Kari Lake returns Bill Clinton’s creepy compliment with a stinging zinger about why he’s not her type

by

Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake delivered a clever comeback to comments about her looks made by former President Bill Clinton.

The Republican candidate rolled out an epic response to being called “physically attractive” by the 78-year-old former president as she spoke at former President Donald Trump’s rally on the Arizona State University campus in Tempe.

‘I woke up to this news this morning,’ she said, bringing up Clinton. “He actually paid me a compliment.”

“As a middle-aged woman, I’m flattered,” Lake, who is 55, responded.” I don’t get those kind of compliments every day.”

“Two, I thought I was a little too old for him. Doesn’t he like interns?” she quipped.

Clinton was in Phoenix where he appeared Wednesday alongside Lake’s Democrat opponent Reuben Gallego when he made the comment.

“This is like a beautiful microcosm of the campaign that Kamala Harris is running for president,” he said.

“You got a person that grew up under sometimes challenging circumstances, who made something of his life running against someone who is physically attractive but believes that politics is a performance art, and where, like J.D. Vance, she has to be prostate before the master,” Clinton added, likely meaning to say “prostate.”

But while Lake may have been “flattered,” she continued to roll out a checklist in response.

“Three, I’m happily married to my husband, Jeff, who’s right down here, the love of my life,” she said, pointing to her husband in the crowd.

“And four, nobody in the right mind wants to cross, Hillary Clinton. It’s just dangerous,” she added.

Colton Duncan, a senior advisor on Lake’s campaign, added a snarky message on social media.
