Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ political team responded to President Joe Biden’s remarks concerning the state’s transgender youth policies with a video depicting the harmful affects of gender reassignment surgeries.
The video was shared via the DeSantis War Room Twitter account, and shows a side-by-side view of Biden’s Monday interview with Kal Penn on The Daily Show and several photos showing the aftermath of sex surgeries. Images of skin grafts for genital creation and top surgeries are shown alongside the president claiming Florida’s policies, that prevent these procedures, are “close to sinful.”
“Biden thinks it’s ‘cruel’ that Florida is NOT allowing experimental sex change operations for kids,” DeSantis War Room account said with the video.
DeSantis himself also weighed in.
“It is not ‘sinful’ to prohibit the mutilation of minors,” DeSantis said in response. “It is not acceptable for the federal government to mandate that procedures like sex change operations be allowed for kids.”
The Florida Board of Medicine voted in October to ban puberty blockers and gender reassignment surgeries for minors, and will go into affect on Thursday. The board came to a conclusion after hearing testimony from several notable detransitioners, including Chloe Cole, who said she transitioned after being exposed to “far-Left ideology.”

(@DeSantisWarRoom) “These are examples of surgeries that he’s [Biden] fine with being performed on children,” spokeswoman Lindsey Curnutte told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Biden in his interview called on Congress to propose federal legislation that would allow minors to undergo gender transitions in every state, and stated that these children are human with “feelings” and “inclinations.”
