Senator Dianne Feinstein has reportedly died at age 90. Details are forthcoming.
In late February of 2023, at age 89, Feinstein was hospitalized with shingles. “That health scare came the same month she had announced she would retire from the U.S. Senate when her term was up in 2024. She told reporters it was time,” abc reported.
Fox News reported:
The longtime senator had suffered from extensive health issues for more than a year, leading many to wonder about her fitness for office. Her cause of death was unclear as of Friday morning.
Feinstein was present in the Senate on Wednesday and cast a vote at 11:45 a.m. ET, according to the congressional record.
However, she missed two votes later in the afternoon.
There are thousands of reactions pouring in all over social media and on the television and there will be many more throughout the day, but here is what Conservative author Mark Levin had to say to put things in perspective:
As you’ve heard, Dianne Feinstein has passed away. And, of course, the media jumps right into the politics — who will replace her, what will Gavin Newsom do, Newsom promised to appoint a black woman, etc. And how she was a “moderate” — how the media build up Democrats the way they rarely treat prominent conservatives who pass away. Everything is about politics and positioning. Just remember how hideous the media are and how you should have real perspective in your life.
