Biden tells crowd he recently met with a former French president –who died DECADES ago!

by

President Joe Biden continued his streak of head-shaking gaffes during a speech in Las Vegas where he recounted a recent meeting with a French president.

The only problem was that Biden did not name French President Emmanuel Macron but Francois Mitterrand, who died three decades ago.

The president spoke Sunday at a campaign event at Pearson Community Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he recounted a tale he has told before about a Group of 7 (G7) meeting that he attended soon after being sworn into office in 2021.

“I sat down and I said, ‘America’s back,’” the oldest sitting U.S. president recalled.

“And Mitterand from Germany — I mean, from France — looked at me and said…’You know, what… why… how long you back for?” he continued, appearing to mix up the French leaders.

“And I looked at him and…the Chancellor of Germany said, ‘What would you say, Mr. President, if you picked up the paper tomorrow in the London Times, and London Times said, ‘A thousand people break through the House of Commons, break down the doors, two Bobbies are killed in order to stop the election of the Prime Minister.’ What would you say?’” Biden said.

Mitterrand, who died in 1996, was France’s president between 1981 and 1995.

The White House transcript of Biden’s remarks showed the name Mitterand crossed out and replaced with Macron.

The Democratic presidential primary in Nevada is set for Tuesday but Biden faces no real threats, with challenges from author Marianne Williamson and a few other unknown names. His latest gaffe only adds fuel to the arguments against his re-election due to his age and cognitive abilities.

A few weeks back, Biden mixed up a woman he had taken a photo with at an event in North Carolina with Rep. Deborah Ross, calling out for the Democrat before realizing she wasn’t even there. In 2022, he infamously called out for former Rep. Jackie Walorski, at a White House conference. The Indiana Republican, however, had tragically died in a car accident a month before.

Biden’s latest mix-up of French presidents sparked renewed reactions on social media about his competency.
