‘This is insane!’ Every Senate Dem votes to continue using taxpayer funds to fly illegal migrants to US towns

U.S. Sen. Bill Hagerty ripped into Democrats for their “Indefensible” vote that essentially allows American taxpayer dollars to be used to fly illegal migrants to various U.S. towns and cities.

Democrats voted in lockstep against Hagerty’s amendment that would bar the use of the funds for the purpose of transporting illegal migrants.

“Tonight every single Senate Democrat voted against my amendment that would stop Biden Admin from using taxpayer dollars to charter flights for hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens from their countries directly to American towns to be resettled,” the Tennessee Republican posted on X over the weekend.

“Indefensible,” he added.

His post prompted a one-word reaction from X owner Elon Musk who aptly wrote, “This is insane!”

Hagerty a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, forced a vote on his amendment to the pending appropriations bill “that would prohibit taxpayer funds from being used to secretly fly illegal aliens from other nations directly into states across the country for resettlement,” according to a press release from his office.

The vote was 51-47, with all Democrats voting against the measure.

“Recent reporting revealed that, in 2023, the Biden Administration flew at least 320,000 illegal aliens into the U.S. in order to deliberately resettle them in American communities while, at the same time, artificially reducing the record-breaking number of border crossings happening under its watch,” the press release noted.

“Let me cut through the procedural language here,” Hagerty said from the floor of the Senate before the late-night vote Friday to avoid a government shutdown.

“I’m bringing forward a vote on a very simple question: Do you support American taxpayer dollars being used to fly illegal aliens into the United States from places like Venezuela and Haiti, into America to be settled in towns and cities near you? If so, then vote against me. Vote ‘no’ to preserve the practice of using taxpayer dollars to charter planes that move and import thousands of illegal aliens into your states,” Hagerty said.

“The Senate ultimately cleared the spending bill after the midnight deadline to avert a government shutdown, following votes on a handful of Republican-backed amendments and proposals. The Senate voted 74-24 to fund the government through September, sending the bill to President Biden’s desk, which he signed Saturday,” Fox News reported. “None of the Republican-backed amendments passed.”

“That’s why Chuck Schumer scheduled this vote in the middle of the night (on Friday),” Hagerty wrote on X after the vote.

The senator’s post and video have wracked up over 38 million views on X and generated plenty of angry reactions.

    At some point these “people” in Washington are going to realize that all these things they are doing to the rest of us is going to come they’re way too. When these “ILLEGALS” get hungry because all the food is gone because of them this little nickel and dime stuff they are taking from “AMERICAN” citizens isn’t going to do them any good. That’s when they will realize that all of these “RICH” people with 3 and 4 mansions have all the big money! THAT’S when they will head their way and as we’ve seen at the border BP or NG or bodyguards will not be able to stop them especially now that they are being able to have guns, so GOOD LUCK!!!
