Talk show host Jon Stewart received a blistering reality check when his hypocrisy was called out after he ripped into former President Donald Trump for “lying” and overvaluing his property.
Stewart was in a full sarcastic tear against Trump regarding his civil fraud case in New York – claiming it was “not victimless” while defending Attorney General Letitia James – when radio and television host Mark Levin took him to the woodshed.
After Stewart called out those who were critical of Trump’s $454 million appeal bond, he ran straight into a wall of karma as curious folk uncovered that he allegedly overvalued his own property. in New York. He took to social media to make a snarky post to deflect from his own hypocrisy.
Do you find this funny? After being found to have overvalued his house by nearly 900 percent Trump’s neighbor Jon Stewart (@jonstewart) took to X to defend why Letitia James should not come after him.
He wrote, “OMG!! I’ve been caught doing something not remotely similar to… pic.twitter.com/ED0HCwCz9B

Among the many comments his post generated was a scathing takedown by Levin.
“Caught red-handed and you make a dumb-a** argument. According to YOU, you are a liar, a fraud, a hypocrite, and you’re arrogant about it. Sound familiar, Johnny?” he wrote.
“And, of course, the law should be applied equally, didn’t you say that too? So, Letitia James should investigate you and your taxes and your sale, apply the same law she dusted off against Trump, and shove it all up your a**, clown,” he added.

Stewart smugly tore into “Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary on “The Daily Show” for his take on real estate practices and the fraud case against Trump.
“The attorney general of New York knew that Trump’s property values were inflated because when it came time to pay taxes, Trump undervalued the very same properties,” Stewart added. “It was all part of a very specific real estate practice known as lying.”
But after his rant, the comedian was exposed.

“But it didn’t take long for internet sleuths to look into Stewart’s own property history, which shows an overvaluation of his New York City penthouse by a staggering 829%, records confirmed by The Post reveal,” the New York Post reported.
According to The Post:
In 2014, Stewart sold his 6,280-square-foot Tribeca duplex to financier Parag Pande for $17.5 million. The property’s asking price at that time is not available in listing records.
But according to 2013-2014 assessor records obtained by The Post, the property had the estimated market-value at only $1.882 million. The actual assessor valuation was even lower, at $847,174.
Records also show that Stewart paid significantly lower property taxes, which were calculated based on that assessor valuation price — precisely what he called Trump out for doing in his Monday monologue.
Pande, who purchased the penthouse from Stewart, then resold the property at a nearly 26% loss, according to the Real Deal — at just over $13 million — in 2021.
“Meanwhile, the New York assessor valuation on Stewart’s former penthouse is the exact same citation method and metric that New York Attorney General Letitia James used to value Trump’s private and personal properties, and then sued him for inflating those assets,” The Post noted.
Stewart continued to be dragged on X:
In truth Stewart did nothing wrong – and neither did Trump. And that’s the point. He picked a really stupid ass fight. And now he’s getting rightfully torched. https://t.co/fqeja7YsSk
