Former President Donald Trump promised a more tangible response to the Biden administration’s “total disrespect to Christians.”
Blasting President Joe Biden’s proclamation of “Transgender Day of Visibility,” Trump told a crowd of supporters he would counter with a day for Christians if he is elected. Biden came under heavy criticism as the day honoring the transgender community fell on the same day as Easter, a most important and holy day for Christians.
“We’re going to win the White House, and we are going to save our country. We’re going to save our country,” Trump told a crowd Tuesday at a campaign rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
“And what the hell was Biden thinking when he declared Easter Sunday to be trans visibility day?” the presumptive 2024 Republican nominee asked supporters. “Such total disrespect to Christians.”

He then made a declaration of his own.
“November 5 is going to be called something else; you know it’s gonna be called? Christian Visibility Day, when Christians turn out [to vote] in numbers that nobody has ever seen before,” he said to cheers from the crowd. “Let’s call it Christian Visibility Day.”
Biden, who has maintained that he is a devout Catholic, not only acknowledged the transgender day that, this year, coincided with Easter Sunday, but he issued his proclamation on Good Friday, a solemn and holy day when Christians commemorate the death of Jesus on the cross. The president also told transgenders they “are made in the image of God,”
Today, on Transgender Day of Visibility, I have a simple message to all trans Americans:
I see you.
You are made in the image of God, and you’re worthy of respect and dignity. pic.twitter.com/ihvsJrXEyd

“It is appalling and insulting that Joe Biden’s White House prohibited children from submitting religious egg designs for their Easter Art Event, and formally proclaimed Easter Sunday as ‘Trans Day of Visibility.’ Sadly, these are just two more examples of the Biden Administration’s years-long assault on the Christian faith,” Trump’s national press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, said in a statement.
“We call on Joe Biden’s failing campaign and White House to issue an apology to the millions of Catholics and Christians across America who believe tomorrow is for one celebration only — the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” she added.
President Trump will be in Wisconsin and Michigan today.
Biden — all tuckered out from the Easter Egg Roll — will be doing nothing. https://t.co/o3nDHT8oeo
