Vice President Kamala Harris was on the receiving end of a fawning, cringe-filled sentiment gushed by actress Drew Barrymore.
The 49-year-old host of “The Drew Barrymore Show” was not only faithful to deliver a softball interview of the vice president, but she added an embarrassing near-worshipful plea for Harris to be everyone’s mother.

“I’ve been thinking that we all need a tremendous hug in the world right now,” Barrymore told Harris on the show that aired Monday.
“But in our country, we need you to be ‘mamele’ of the country,” she said, creeping in closer to Harris and reaching out for her hand in the awkward moment.
“Yeah, I mean, yeah, no, I know,” the vice president responded as the audience broke into applause.
Fox News host Will Cain slammed the “cult”-like obsession of Democrats in a post on X that even drew a face-palm emoji from Elon Musk.

Journalist and podcast host Megyn Kelly shredded the entire interview, blasting Harris for essentially “saying nothing.”
“It’s classic Kamala Harris trying to offer fake profundities with her fake affect when she’s saying nothing,” Kelly said. “She delivers her normal air sandwich and even worse is Drew Barrymore leaning in, she must be three inches away from Kamala Harris.”
Other social media reactions to the awkward exchange were in full supply on X:
This is so embarrassing🤦♀️ @DrewBarrymore is almost in her lap🤢🤮

Biden is Daddy, Kamala is Mommy, and the FBI is Big Brother.

No one – and I mean no one – needs Harris to be their “little mother”.
