Rep. Jasmine Crockett jumps to ‘white privilege’ to defend saying Trump should not get Secret Service

by

U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett was deservedly raked over the coals after stunning remarks on social media where she made clear how important she believes she is.

The Texas Democrat posted comments that defied logic, decency and even education as she bemoaned former President Donald Trump having Secret Service protection while members of Congress like herself do not.

Crockett has been under fire for being part of a group of House Democrats who signed the “DISGRACED Former Protectees Act,” in April, which aimed to end Secret Service protection for convicted felons – namely Trump. In light of the July 13 assassination attempt on the Republican nominee at his rally in Pennsylvania, Texas state Rep. Brian Harrison and others have called for Crockett to step down.

She unloaded in a post on X in response to the letter calling for her resignation, insulting other lawmakers who “don’t even serve on my level ” while flashing the “white privilege” card.

“As a sitting member of congress, we don’t even get secret service protection so why should taxpayers foot the bill for someone who a jury of his/her peers has deemed guilty of a felony or in this case 34 of ‘em, if they are sentenced to time. The prison is full of officers not to mention, why should we make an entire team of public servants have to go to prison, too?!” she ranted.

“If Martha Stewart could survive, I’m not sure why y’all are so scared that your Orange Savior couldn’t or is it that you want to admit that women are stronger than many of you, including him?” Crockett, a sitting member if the United States Congress wrote.

Crockett referred to the upcoming hearing lawmakers have called to investigate the failed security that led to the near-assassination of Trump as something that will be filled with “propaganda.”

Crockett’s shocking and ignorant remarks may have played well for her fellow conspiracy-loving Democrats, but many on X let her have it.
