Democrats draw no lines to protect the innocent as they rip into former President Donald Trump, and even his grandchildren are not off limits.
Whoopi Goldberg had nothing positive to say about 17-year-old Kai Trump, the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife, Vanessa, who took the stage at the Republican National Convention this week to talk about her grandfather.
The co-host of “The View” bluntly attacked the teen’s personal and touching speech, telling viewers not to fall for it as she warned that it was all part of the effort to “humanize” Trump. This, of course, is contrary to the Democrat mission to demonize the GOP nominee who nearly lost his life to a would-be assassin’s bullet last weekend.
“I know his grandchild was up on the thing and they’re trying to humanize [Trump] and change your idea about who this guy is,” Goldberg said on Thursday’s episode of the ABC talk show. “Don’t fall for that.”
Trump’s eldest grandchild took the stage to clear up some misconceptions about the man she calls her “grandpa.”
“I’m speaking today to share the side of my grandpa that people don’t often see,” she said. “To me, he’s just a normal grandpa. He gives us candy and soda when our parents aren’t looking. He always wants to know how we’re doing in school.”
“On Saturday, I was shocked when I heard that he had been shot, and I just wanted to know if he was okay. It was heartbreaking that someone would do that to another person,” she said of the assassination attempt.

She stated that “a lot of people have put my grandfather through hell,” but noted to applause that “he’s still standing.”
“Grandpa, you are such an inspiration and I love you,” she said. “The media makes my grandpa seem like a different person, but I know him for who he is. He’s very caring and loving. He truly wants the best for this country, and he will fight every single day to make America great again.”
Since her speech, the teen has reportedly been “swarmed” by boys and her father is not too happy about that.
“I’m being told, by the way, that your daughter has been just swarmed in this arena by teenage boys,” Fox News host Laura Ingraham told Trump Jr. on Thursday.
“Get away you little b*****ds and stay away!” Kai’s father jokingly interjected.
“They had to shut down a part of the arena because so many people were following her,” Ingraham noted. “You have introduced her to the world now.”
