Benjamin Netanyahu lands in US, neither Biden, Harris, nor Blinken were there to greet him

by

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in the U.S. for a pre-planned address to Congress but his welcome underscored the dysfunction in the Biden administration.

Neither President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, nor Secretary of State Blinken were on hand to greet and welcome the leader as he landed.

Netanyahu is set to address both houses of Congress on Wednesday in an effort “to anchor the bipartisan support that is so important for Israel,” according to an Israeli government spokesman, NBC News reported.

Sen. Ben Cardin, D-Md. will reportedly preside over the address rather than Harris, which would be normal protocol.

“While the vice president typically presides over joint addresses, Harris is expected to be travelling for her presidential campaign which she launched on Sunday after President Joe Biden dramatically dropped his re-election bid and endorsed her in the race against former President Donald Trump. However she is expected to meet with Netanyahu separately during his visit,” NBC News noted.

Some messages of support were posted on social media, as the welcome from former Vice President Mike Pence.

Before he departed for the U.S., Netanyahu thanked Biden “for the things he did for Israel.”

“This will be an opportunity to thank him for the things he did for Israel in the war and during his long and distinguished career in public service, as senator, vice president, and president,” Netanyahu said.

“Regardless of who the American people choose as their next president, Israel remains its most indispensable and strongest ally in the Middle East,” he added.

But according to The Times of Israel and other outlets, Netanyahu’s scheduled Tuesday meeting with Biden has been canceled as the president reportedly continues to recover from COVID-19.

Biden remains in quarantine in Delaware and has reportedly canceled several trips because of the virus and in the wake of his subsequent announcement that he was dropping his re-election bid. In a letter on Monday, Biden’s doctor said the president’s “symptoms have almost resolved completely” and he has taken his 10th dose of Paxlovid.

“His pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate and temperature remain absolutely normal,” said White House doctor Kevin Connor in his update.

“His oxygen saturation continues to be excellent on room air. His lungs remain clear,” he added. “The President continues to perform all of his presidential duties.”

But many question if he is really performing any of his duties as the 81-year-old has not been seen in public since last week.

“I demand proof of life from Joe Biden today by 5:00pm,” Colorado Republican Lauren Boebert wrote on X. “He needs to get in front of some camera and discuss if he’s aware that he dropped out. Hiding is completely unacceptable”

“I don’t endorse Biden conspiracies, but still: It’s strange and wrong that Biden hasn’t spoken given the historic magnitude of his announcement,” journalist Glenn Greenwald wrote. “Having a President drop out by tweet and then disappear is bizarre. If he’s well enough to decide, then he’s well enough to speak.”

  1. This is being done purposely to finally show the anti-Semitic hatred of this administration and the cabal attached to it for Israel and Jews in particular. Don’t think for a second that Hamas and Hezbollah along with their terrorist sponsors aren’t taking notice and seeing this as a go ahead to do as they please. This is also a gesture to take the pressure off their convention from the terrorists they supported during the mini insurrections supported by the democrat party all over the US after the Hamas butchery in Israel. The “Jewish” congressional and senatorial representatives who knew (and they did) that this was going to happen are an utter disgrace to the name Jew. Any Jew who votes for any of these mongrels has been walking around simply with Jewish heritage but apparently shares the same anti-Semitism.
