In fewer than 30 hours, Vice President Kamala Harris catapulted to becoming the leading contender for the Democratic Party nomination, having sown up more than half of the delegates pledged to President Biden. She has not won a single vote ever in a presidential primary.
Every potential rival suspiciously dropped out, and donors lined up behind her as though she were a modern Pied Piper. Even Nancy Pelosi threw in her support, ditching the hopes of her home state governor, Gavin Newsom. The pace was so rapid that the media, oohing and aahing at the spectacle, forgot all about poor President Biden, who has still not made a live appearance since he retired to his Delaware home to nurse COVID symptoms.
Many on social media suspected that Biden might be gravely ill. To assure Americans that he was alive, Biden phoned into a Harris campaign event in Wilmington. But Biden’s voice was too crisp and sharp, and had none of the hesitation or senior moments he faced in the Atlanta debate fewer than four weeks ago. Once, he rattled off the names of all of his campaign officials so quickly and flawlessly – something that he wouldn’t do even with a Tel-e-Prompter – that he raised eyebrows. If this is how mentally fast and present Biden is, why did he have to drop out?
Biden’s phone call triggered even more questions. As the first Zoom president in modern times, why didn’t he join by Zoom, wearing a mask? How could he speak with such command of what he was saying? It then followed that Biden never actually called in live. It was a recording – carefully doctored and edited to make his voice appear polished and professional – that was played at the event. And Harris gleefully chimed in, although she let the cat out of the bag when she referred to a recording: “It is so good to hear our President’s voice. Joe, I know you’re still on the reco… on the call… and we’ve been talking everyday.”
Harris’s coronation smacks of deception of the highest order. In our editorial yesterday, we showed how the Democratic Party had become undemocratic in this saga. But we never expected deception to be the driving force behind their undemocratic actions.
Frankly, we don’t know where to start. According to the media, Biden stepped down because polls showed that he couldn’t win against Trump and, therefore, became a hero by saving American democracy.
All politicians like to win, but what is the Left’s intense obsession to prevent Trump from assuming office? What could Trump possibly do – given all the checks and balances that the Deep State has erected – that would harm America so much? It clearly is not his policies – in fact, in survey after survey, Americans favor Trump’s policies on immigration, trade, economic stewardship, energy independence, reluctance to engage in foreign wars, and strengthening America’s brand. Why are the Democrats so paranoid about Trump?
Kamala Harris has been by Biden’s side for the last four years. Why did she not alert anyone about Biden’s lack of mental faculties before the primaries? In a democracy, how could the person who is second-in-line to the most powerful office in the world not have had preliminary 25th Amendment discussions about how to protect the country? Was saving America from Trump a more significant priority than ensuring that America was making the right decisions in Ukraine, Israel, China, and Iran?
If Biden was so incapable of performing his office’s duties, who was calling the shots then? Oh, wait. We have been repeatedly told, even as recently as the Los Angeles fundraiser where former President Obama walked the President off the stage, that Biden was fine, fit, and mentally sharp.
On June 17, Biden’s press secretary, KJP, insisted that videos showing Biden in a poor light were a political witchhunt: “It tells you everything we need to know about how desperate Republicans are. Instead of talking about the President’s performance in office, we’re seeing these deep fakes, these manipulated videos.” The deception here was that it was not the Republicans who were desperate—it was the Democrats, just ten days later.
Nearly everything that the Democratic Party has done since 2016 has been deliberately deceptive to deny Donald Trump success. In 2020, it was the Democrats who fell behind Biden (who had not won any of the nation’s first three primaries) and Harris (who withdrew a month before the Iowa caucus after her extraordinarily low polling) to lead them to victory. It was the Democrats who sprung race riots on us to make Trump look weak. It was the Democrats that used COVID-19 as an excuse to usher in over 145 last-minute ballot changes. Trump was leading on election night, but when mail-in ballots were counted under extremely relaxed rules, AP declared Biden the winner four days later.
After Biden’s Atlanta debate performance, the Democrats turned on their own party leader – showing how deceptively thin Biden’s grasp on the party was. He was the figurehead head of the DNC and the country. Biden resisted and resisted and resisted – he had, after all, legitimately won the nomination for the second time – but the powers-that-be wielded their Harry Potter’s magic wand.
The wand made Biden announce his resignation via a tweet. There was no press conference, Delaware Oval Office address, cameras, or Zoom call. Thirty-two minutes later, the wand reminded him that he had forgotten to endorse Harris – and Biden dutifully complied.
Thirty hours later, Harris had sown up a majority of the delegates, turning her fire on Trump and showing how the fix was in right from the start. The American voter has been played like a fiddle. If a bunch of oligarchs and party bosses can coronate you, why have the primary at all?

1. Netanyahu Faces Delicate Balancing Act In U.S. After Biden Exits Race – BBC
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s trip to the U.S. offers him a platform for a reset with Washington after months of tensions over his hardline approach to the war and an opportunity to try to convince Israelis that he hasn’t undermined relations with their most important ally.

However, this is overshadowed by President Biden’s decision not to seek re-election. President Biden remains one of the most pro-Israel presidents to sit in the Oval Office, a self-declared Zionist who’s been lauded by Israelis for his support and empathy.

The Palestinians were killed by tank salvoes in the town of Bani Suhaila and other towns just east of the southern city of Khan Younis, with the area also bombarded by air, they said.

Earlier, an Israeli military statement said the new evacuation orders were given due to renewed Palestinian militant attacks, including rockets launched from the targeted areas in eastern Khan Younis. The Palestinians said the orders did not include health institutions.

5. Hungary Stripped Of EU Meeting Over Ukraine Stance – BBC
The European Union has stripped Hungary of the right to host the next meeting of foreign and defense ministers over its stance on the war in Ukraine.

Hungary described the move as “completely childish.”

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has intercepted a Togo-flagged, UAE-managed tanker carrying 1,500 tons of marine gas oil, British security firm Ambrey said.

Ambrey said the incident was likely a counter-smuggling operation by the IRGC. Iran has some of the world’s lowest fuel prices due to heavy subsidies and the plunge in the value of its currency, making smuggling for resale on world markets very profitable.
10. Microsoft Says EU To Blame For The World’s Worst IT Outage – Euronews
A 2009 agreement insisted on by the European Commission meant that Microsoft could not make security changes that would have blocked the update from cybersecurity firm Crowdstrike that caused an estimated 8.5 million computers to fail, the Big Tech giant said in the Wall Street Journal comments.

Microsoft has Windows Defender, its in-house alternative to CrowdStrike. Still, because of the 2009 agreement made to avoid a European competition investigation, it had allowed multiple security providers to install software at the kernel level.
