Nancy Pelosi suggests adding Biden’s bust to Mount Rushmore. Will it include the knife?

by

Just weeks after Rep. Nancy Pelosi was reportedly poking President Joe Biden to bury his re-election dreams, she suggested he be enshrined in an American landmark.

Denying she played any role in leading the charge to oust Biden from the Democratic ticket, the former House Speaker told CBS journalist Lesley Stahl that the president deserves a spot on Mount Rushmore. Pelosi’s audacious claim about the “consequential” president had many questioning her delusional state of mind as even Stahl seemed to challenge the seriousness of the idea during the interview on “CBS News Sunday Morning.”

Pelosi told Stahl that she “didn’t call one person” in the coordinated effort by Democrats to have Biden withdraw from the 2024 race following his disastrous CNN debate against former President Donald Trump.

“He was in a good place to make whatever decision – the top of his game,” Pelosi said. “Such a consequential president of the United States, a Mount Rushmore kind of president of the United States.”

“Are you really saying that he belongs up there on Mount Rushmore? Lincoln and Joe Biden?” Stahl asked.

“Well, you got Teddy Roosevelt up there, and he’s wonderful,” the California Democrat replied. “I don’t say take him down. But you can add Biden.”

She insisted that she was not part of any effort to push Biden out of the race.

“No, I wasn’t the leader of any pressure party,” Pelosi told Stahl. “Let me say things that I didn’t do: I didn’t call one person. I did not call one person. I could always say to him, ‘I never called anybody.'”

“What I’m saying is, I had confidence that the president would make the proper choice for our country, whatever that would be, and I said that. ‘Whatever that is, we’ll go with.'”

At the time, Pelosi continued to defend Biden publicly.

“It’s up to the president to decide if he is going to run,” she told MSNBC at the time. “We’re all encouraging him to make that decision because time is running short. The, I think, overwhelming support of the caucus, it’s not for me to say. I’m not the head of the caucus anymore, but he’s beloved, he is respected, and people want him to make that decision. Not me.”

Pelosi’s Mount Rushmore comment took off on social media where many expressed their disgust and openly mocked the former House speaker.

“Sorry Nancy, Mount Rushmore is not a place to celebrate someone who lied about his mental decline, willfully and knowingly endangered the lives of the American people, crushed American families, undermined the Constitution, and weakened our country at home and abroad,” South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem wrote on X. “Joe Biden’s 4 years as President—with Kamala Harris being part of those radical policies and countless failures—will go down as the worst in American history.”

“In an election cycle filled with a constant game of who can say the dumbest shit you’ve ever heard in your life this one takes the cake. I literally spit out my coffee and wasnt even drinking any,” Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy wrote. “How is this not AI?”

More reactions flooded the platform.
