Actor Ben Stiller wishes he was black for Kamala: ‘Every white Jewish guy wishes he was black’

Hollywood elites are fully on board the Kamala Harris train and rolled out the comedians for a straight-faced show of support.

Among the list of funny men and women participating in a virtual fundraiser titled “Comics for Kamala,” actor Ben Stiller raved over the vice president who has been crowned the Democratic presidential nominee after President Joe Biden ended his re-election campaign.

Stiller’s remarks included the eyebrow-raising declaration that he wished he was black as he awkwardly touted Harris’s ethnic and racial background.

“It’s going to be the first woman president and that’s incredibly exciting. She’s Indian, she’s black, she’s everything. You can be more than one thing, it’s incredible.” the “Night at the Museum” star said.

“You know, I’m Jewish and Irish. I wish I was black. Every white Jewish guy wishes he was black. You know, get out there and vote and donate and take advantage,” Stiller said, adding that he was planning to donate $150,000 to Harris’ campaign.

The comic call came after a head-scratching “White Dudes for Harris” call last week and among the other comedians who threw their support behind Harris were rabid anti-Trumpers Kathy Griffin, Rosie O’Donnell, Whoopi Goldberg, Patton Oswalt, and Tom Arnold.

“I know what you’re thinking. Probably another funny guy here to tell you why to vote for Kamala Harris. But I feel like I’m different because I’m not a comic. I’m an actor. I played Derek Zoolander. I was in Dodgeball,” Stiller said during the event.

“I’m here because I’m so genuinely excited about the potential to actually win this election,” he continued. “What’s happened in the last couple of weeks, just the turning of the tide, and that Vice President Harris can actually win this thing if we all just rally around and really take advantage of this incredible energy that’s happening.”

“She’s like a human being. She acts like a human being, and she has empathy, and she has humor, and it’s beautiful when she laughs because she’s a real person who is reacting to things. And I believe in everything that she’s standing up for,” the 58-year-old actor gushed.

By the end of the call, the donation tracker showed the goal had been exceeded with over $500,000 raised.
