Vice President Kamala Harris scolded pro-Palestinian hecklers during a speech she was giving in Detroit, Michigan.
The Democratic presidential nominee snapped at being interrupted. reminding the protesters that she was “speaking now” and the outburst could lead to former President Donald Trump winning the election.
“And please do check out project 2025 because I’m telling you it is a plan–” Harris was telling a rally crowd on Wednesday, continuing the false claims connecting Trump to the Heritage Foundation’s policy initiative. “It is a plan to weaken America’s middle class, Project 2025. If he is elected.”
“I’m here because we believe in democracy. Everyone’s voice matters,” she said as protesters interrupted. “But I am speaking now.”
“Look, if he is elected, Donald Trump intends to give tax breaks to billionaires and big corporations,” the vice president attempted to continue. “He intends to cut Social Security and Medicare. He intends to surrender our fight against the climate crisis, and he intends to end the Affordable Care Act.”
Clearly agitated by the chanting and shouting hecklers, Harris lost her patience.
“You know what? If you want Donald Trump to win, then say that! Otherwise, I’m speaking!” she scolded with an added death stare, sparking cheers of support from the crowd.
“Not going back! Not going back!” the rallygoers chanted, drawing agreement from Harris who said, “And we’re not going back.”
“And we’re not going back because we know what that would look like. And again,” she said.
According to ABC News White House correspondent Selina Wang, pro-Palestinian agitators at Wednesday’s rally were chanting, “Kamala, Kamala, you can’t hide. We won’t vote for genocide.”
“Things are going well at Kamala’s rally,” snarked the X account for Trump’s campaign.
Some laughably praised Harris wagging a finger and scolding protesters, applauding the purported show of strength.
“Do you know what the American people like in a president? Someone who takes no sh*t,” Norm Eisen, ex-U.S. Ambassador to the Czech Republic under former President Barack Obama, wrote on X. “This is strong.”
The progressive group Roots Action found Harris’s reaction to be “disrespectful” to the protesters.
“‘If you point out there is a genocide happening then Donald Trump will win’ is not a good strategy!” the group posted. “This is disrespectful to so many organizers, including those with @uncommittedmvmt, who the Harris campaign has refused to meet with.”
Other social media users also reacted to the viral moment and Harris’s agitated response to being interrupted.

If this is her reaction to a protest, imagine her handling a real crisis.
The real world is clearly too much for her to handle.
Keep it up, Kamabla, you’re making Trump’s case for him.
