The cringe moments abounded on the second night of the Democratic National Convention and the unnatural exuberance of some speakers left many observers feeling awkward for them.

A case in point was Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer arriving on the stage showing off his dance moves. The New York Democrat had much to celebrate as he and his cohorts successfully jettisoned President Joe Biden from the presidential ticket to install Vice President Harris as the 2024 nominee.
