(The Center Square) – Tulsi Gabbard, the former Democratic U.S. representative from Hawaii who switched to an independent, endorsed former President and Republican nominee Donald Trump for president on Monday.
At a National Guard event in swing state Michigan, Gabbard, who served in Iraq and Kuwait, said Trump will make better decision to keep Americans safe.
“I’m committed to doing all that I can to send President Trump back to the White House, where he once again will serve us as our commander in chief,” she said. “I know that President Trump understands the grave responsibility that a president bears for every single one of our lives, whether you’re a soldier, you’re an airman, a marine sailor or a Coastie, he keeps us in his heart, in the decisions that he makes.”
