As Barack and Michelle Obama celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary, actress Jennifer Aniston was busy dispelling rumors that romantically linked her to the former president.
While the 55-year-old “Friends” star has had her share of rumors and tabloid headlines about her love life over the years, she faced an odd personal cover story in a recent magazine that seemed to suggest she and Obama were romantically involved. Aniston threw cold water on the story as a guest on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” last week as they discussed the truth behind many eyebrow-raising rumors.
“This is a magazine that came out a couple of weeks ago,” Kimmel said as he held up an issue of In Touch Weekly that sported the headline: “The Truth About Jen & Barack!” and a caption that added,” Michelle betrayed as Aniston steals her husband’s attention.”
“Oh s—!” Aniston responded as the audience laughed
“That’s kind of – that was – of all the calls you get from your publicist where you’re just like, ‘Oh no, what’s it gonna be?’ or the email saying, you know, ‘Some cheesy tabloid is gonna make up a story,'” she said, adding, “And then it’s that. I was not mad at it.”
“Is there any truth to this?” Kimmel asked, prompting Aniston to emphatically state, “No, that is absolutely untrue.”
“Well, I know it’s not true, I just don’t know if everybody knows,” he said, as the actress turned to the audience to assure there was no relationship between her and the former president whom she explained she has only met once.
“I know Michelle more than him,” she explained, prompting Kimmel to joke, “Is there a truth about you and Michelle, that we should know?”
“It’s it’s – that is not true.”
She went on to shed light on several other rumors that had been spread about her, including having a black belt in jiu-jitsu, traveling with a jar of olives and carrying her dead therapist’s ashes in a plastic bag.
“A representative for Aniston did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment,” Fox News reported, adding, “When reached for comment, an Obama representative simply replied, ‘Stop.'”
