Former first lady Melania Trump shared a message following her husband’s election victory, promising that a second Trump administration would “safeguard the heart of our republic”
Mrs. Trump joined President-elect Donald Trump on stage in the early morning hours on Wednesday after he won the 2024 U.S. presidential election, defeating Democrat Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump thanked his “beautiful wife” and she took to social media to post a message later in the day.
“The majority of Americans have entrusted us with this important responsibility,” she wrote. “We will safeguard the heart of our republic — freedom. I anticipate the citizens of our nation rejoining in commitment to each other and rising above ideology for the sake of individual liberty, economic prosperity, and security.”

“American energy, skill and initiative will bring together our best minds to propel our nation forward forevermore,” she added.
Though Mrs. Trump had been largely out of the spotlight at the beginning of her husband’s campaign, she began to make more appearances in the last few months notably after the release of her memoir, “Melania.” She defended the former president from the attacks against him and the left’s divisive rhetoric.
“He’s not Hitler, and all of his supporters, [they’re] standing behind him because they want [to] see [the] country successful, and we see how — what kind of support he has,” she said in an interview on “Fox & Friends” last month.
This week, she shared a photo of the couple’s 18-year-old son, Barron, who voted for the first time on Tuesday.

I pray you are correct. Many on the left will not easily come down off the ledge.
