‘Catturd’ in public brawl with Republican Congressman, threatens defamation lawsuit

by

A pro-Trump social media influencer threatened to file a defamation lawsuit against Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) after a series of insults escalated on X.

The account known as “Catturd” wrote about filing a “slam dunk” lawsuit after Massie “attacked” him in “unprovoked” remarks, calling him and others on the social media platform “paid influencers.”

Catturd’s humor and pointed commentary have garnered him more than 3 million followers on X where he was alluded to in a post by Massie this week.

“Who are the most nenarded paid influencers on this platform? Does anyone else compete with Cat poop and DC drainage for this title?” the Kentucky Republican posted, prompting a fiery comeback.

Catturd doubled down in another post, saying he had “never taken a dime” from any political party, candidate, PAC or organization.

“Remember when Trump-hating @RepThomasMassie, on his official Congress account, unprovoked, attacked me a few days ago claiming I was a paid grifter who was paid for my political opinions? I do,” he wrote in a post this week.

“So him and his team of cringe butthurt DeSimp losers did every kind of research trying to prove I was wrong? They couldn’t. Because they’re liars. I’ve never taken a dime,” he continued. “So what did Tommy do – The most honorable guy according to himself in history … did he say … “ My team has looked into this and Catturd is right he’s never taken a dime from anyone? Nope …”

“This is a slam dunk defamation lawsuit,” Catturd wrote. “Stay tuned.”

Social media reactions were mixed, with many defending the influencer while others urged him to let the matter go.

  1. I say, sue the heck out of Massie, I am sick of the arrogance of government, we voted for Trump, shut Matthie’s and all these egotistical politician’s mouths. Case overload the hell out of every liberal courtroom in this country. They deserve it. Catturd is one of the refreshing voices of common sense and reason as well. If he feels insulted and wronged, he has the right to defend his name and honor. Period. All these people suggesting rising above it can take a moment to consider if it was their names, their family names, their businesses, what would they do?? Yea, it would be way more important of course if it was that.
