A crowd of supporters told Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy Tuesday what their favorite accomplishment was from President Donald Trump’s first 100 day in office.

Trump is set to hold a rally at Macomb Community College in Warren, Michigan, to mark his first 100 days of his second term. Outside of the venue, several enthusiastic supporters embraced Doocy and celebrated the president’s policies.

“Out of the last 100 days, what is the number one thing that you think President Trump and his team have done?” Doocy asked a supporter.

“Securing that border,” the man said.

Another said tariffs, prompting Doocy to ask if anyone is concerned about higher prices. The crowd did not seem overly concerned about high prices.

Most of the supporters said Trump’s greatest achievement was securing the U.S.-Mexico border and deporting illegal immigrants.

“By far, the number one thing that folks here are pleased with is what Trump has done at the border,” Doocy said.

Border encounters soared to record highs during former President Joe Biden’s administration, exceeding 2 million in the 2022, 2023 and 2024 fiscal years. Democrats repeatedly argued that Biden had little power to mitigate the border crisis, and blamed Trump for the ongoing border crisis after he opposed the bipartisan border deal, a multi-billion dollar package that aimed to reduce border crossings by imposing stricter immigration and asylum laws.

Despite that, border encounters reached its lowest numbers since the 1960s in February, just one month after Trump reentered office. The administration has deported 139,000 illegal immigrants since Jan. 20, border czar Tom Homan said Monday.

Since the Trump administration returned to power, daily border encounters have fallen 93% and migrant crossings are down by 99.99%, according to a 100-day fact sheet the White House shared Monday. Encounters with “gotaways,” illegal immigrants who successfully avoid Border Patrol apprehension, are down 95%.

During the Biden administration, the average number of monthly border encounters was nearly 160,000 and the daily average of border encounters peaked at 15,000, according to the White House. In March, less than 72,000 border encounters were recorded, the lowest monthly number in recorded history.
