A new report indicates that former White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor gave Joe Biden a clean bill of health in his annual evaluations, which showed no signs of the cancer he was recently diagnosed with.
Former President Biden’s annual health reports from 2021, 2023 and 2024 showed no signs of the aggressive prostate cancer announced this month, according to a review of the records by Fox News Digital, which noted that “concerns over skin cancer were a common theme throughout the three reports.”
“President Biden remains a healthy, vigorous, 78-year-old male, who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency, to include those as Chief Executive, Head of State and Commander in Chief,” O’Connor wrote in Biden’s first annual health report in November 2021, describing him as a “healthy, vigorous” man.
“The report included routine screenings of Biden’s heart, eyes and teeth, as well as his occasional gastroesophageal reflux,” Fox News noted, adding that the report indicated Biden had “routine” screenings for both colon cancer and skin cancer” but that there were “no areas suspicious for skin cancer” at the time.
Fifteen months later, Biden’s second physical was conducted on Feb. 16, 2023, attributing the delay to the president’s schedule.
“President Biden remains a healthy, vigorous 80-year-old male who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the presidency,” O’Connor wrote in 2023, again not noting any indication of prostate cancer.
The then-president was diagnosed with COVID-19 in July 2022, in between the two exams, and O’Connor followed up on a biopsy taken from Biden’s chest for skin cancer in 2023.
“As expected, the biopsy confirmed that the small lesion was basal cell carcinoma,” the doctor wrote following the procedure. “All cancerous tissue was successfully removed. The area around the biopsy site was treated presumptively with electrodessication and curettage at the time of biopsy. No further treatment is required.”
“President Biden is a healthy, active, robust 81-year-old male, who remains fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency, to include those as Chief Executive, Head of State and Commander in Chief,” stated the physical examination released Feb. 28, 2024.
Fox News noted that the doctor “reported that he conducted a neurological exam and determined that no cerebral or neurological issues were compounding the president’s stiff gait. The test did support previous findings of peripheral neuropathy of the feet, the report stated.”
While the final exam of his presidency showed Biden was using a continuous positive airway pressure, or CPAP, machine when sleeping and that he had undergine a root canal with no issues, there was still no reporting on any cancer concerns.
A Biden spokesperson told Fox News his last known prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test, which screens for prostate cancer, was conducted in 2014 and that the former president “had never been diagnosed with prostate cancer” before the announcement this month.
Fox News senior medical analyst Dr. Marc Siegel was among those shocked by the diagnosis, saying, “Two aneurysms, atrial fibrillation. He’s been through a lot health-wise, but I am absolutely shocked that they didn’t find this earlier.”
