ActorvJames Woods torched California Gov. Gavin Newsom over the bang-up job he’s done for his state.
The 78-year-old conservative does not shy away from a fight, and when the Democrat governor took “the bait” on footage of violent riots, Woods dropped a boulder on his narrative.
The ongoing violence that has erupted in the Los Angeles area over actions by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has led to the de[;oyment of the National Guard with U.S. Marines at the ready to intervene as well to secure federal buildings and personnel. In that context, Woods posted on X, taking a shot at Democrats and leftists who deny reality and insist the violent demonstrations are just “peaceful protests.”
“If I hear one more leftist shill in mainstream media utter the words ‘peaceful protests,’ I’ll throw up,” James wrote on X.

His post was met with reader context about the images in the link, noting it “is old footage from May 2020.”
Soon, Newsom got in on some jabs, also smugly telling the actor, “This video is from 2020.” He totally missed the epic self-own in his comment.
Wait So you’re telling me that violent rioters lighting police cars on fire and assaulting officers is a regular occurrence that has happened throughout the years under your leadership in your state??

Woods came back with the mic drop.
“Yeah, you’ve been good at destroying this state for half a decade,” he wrote. “Thanks for taking the bait”

Gavin Newsom wants to be clear that this video is not from 2025 when he let Los Angeles burn, but from 2020 when he let Los Angeles burn.
Thank you for the clarification
