Late-night host Stephen Colbert, a fixture of the left-leaning media establishment, crowned himself a “martyr” following the announced cancellation of his show. In a move that surprised precisely no one, he then launched a vulgar tirade directly at President Donald Trump, spewing the kind of profanity one expects from the perpetually outraged liberal elite.

The Late Show,” comedian, known for his relentless anti-Trump rhetoric, unleashed a predictable rant against his network’s decision to pull the plug on his long-running program. He dramatically declared “the gloves are off,” as if he hadn’t been saying whatever he wanted for years, now claiming newfound freedom before his final bow next May.
Colbert’s most direct and utterly classless message was reserved for President Trump, who, like many common-sense Americans, openly celebrated the news. CBS, facing the cold hard truth of financial realities, made the long-overdue decision to end the show, a slot once held by the legendary David Letterman.
In a moment of stunning irony, Colbert kicked off his show by declaring, “Folks, I’m gonna go ahead and say it: Cancel culture has gone too far.” One might wonder if he’s ever looked in a mirror.
He continued his self-pitying monologue, stating, “Over the weekend, it sunk in that they’re killing off our show. But they made one mistake: They left me alive,” a rather dramatic jab at CBS parent company Paramount, as if his show’s demise was some grand conspiracy rather than a market correction.
“And now,” he dramatically proclaimed, “for the next 10 months, the gloves are off. I can finally speak unvarnished truth to power and say what I really think about Donald Trump, starting right now.” This, from a man whose entire career has been built on speaking his “truth” about Trump, highlights the sheer delusion of the liberal media bubble.
He then delivered his “unvarnished truth”: “I don’t care for him. Doesn’t have the skillset to be president. Not a good fit, that’s all.” Riveting insight, truly groundbreaking analysis from the intellectual vanguard of late-night.
But the real fireworks began when Colbert, predictably, turned his attention to President Trump’s perfectly understandable celebratory message on Truth Social, a platform where real Americans can speak freely without fear of Big Tech censorship.
Trump, ever the master of troll, had posted:
“I absolutely love that Colbert’ got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings.”
Colbert, feigning outrage, retorted: “How dare you, sir? Would an untalented man be able to compose the following satirical witticism?” He then theatrically turned to an ‘Eloquence Cam’ to deliver his profound punchline: “Go f**k yourself.” Such wit, such grace, truly the pinnacle of comedic genius. It’s no wonder his ratings were in the tank.
Trump, ever prescient, also quipped about the future of late-night:
“I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next.”
This was a clear reference to another ABC late-night host whose ratings are also likely suffering from the same terminal case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Colbert, naturally, had to address this inconvenient truth.
“Nope, no, no. Absolutely not. Kimmel, I am the martyr. There’s only room for one on this cross. And the view is fantastic from up here. I can see your house!” he declared, cementing his self-appointed status as the ultimate victim. The left loves a good martyr, especially when it’s self-proclaimed.
He then tried to spin the cancellation, asking, “How could it be a purely financial decision if The Late Show is number one in ratings? A lot of folks are asking that question, mainly my staff’s parents and spouses,” a desperate attempt to deflect from the obvious truth that woke programming simply isn’t resonating with mainstream America. Perhaps if he spent less time attacking patriots and more time being funny, things would be different.
He concluded by thanking his dwindling fan base for their “support” after the announcement, with the usual suspects – Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, Jon Oliver, and Jon Stewart – making predictable cameos on Monday’s show, a veritable who’s who of the liberal echo chamber. It seems the swamp creatures stick together, even as their ratings sink.

Cobert just proved why he is being dismissed. Not funny. Not intelligent. And stricken with severe TDS! He richly deserves the Has Beens Graveyard!!!
Look, talk shows are supposed to be entertainment, which mainly means comedy.
Colbert hasn’t been funny for a very long time!
It must be nice to go through life with total unawareness of your own lack of self awareness.
Some individuals never look at themselves and evaluate their worth. A martyr he’s not. That’s left for the honest.
First of all CBS is loseing million of dollars, because the rateings are down. Second of all He is not funny, and a Democratic Socialist Party Hack.
How stupid and unintelligent is it to eliminate 50% of your audience by politicizing the show? I think Colbert is talented as a comedian if he would stay away from politics. Of course, I might do the same for nearly 200K in compensation. Shame on CBS.

What does he mean “the gloves are off”? That assclown has had them off since he first heard Trumps name. All he can do now is sound like his soulmate Hunter Biden and have a dancing troupe of Hunter look-a-likes prancing and swearing behind him onstage like his dancing Vaccine needles. His timeslot will be filled with The View reruns and nobody will know the difference.
Steve WHO???
Didn’t he, like, used to be Somebody?
Saturday Night Live should be on that cancellation list, too. I haven’t seen it since the original cast left.
Colbert, you are not a martyr, you are a fool.
Colbert, your gloves have always been off where Trump is concerned. Trump had every right to gloat you got shit canned. Your constant ragging on Trump are One of the reasons you’re canceled. People were sick of hearing it. And you’re not funny. Your ratings were dropping and you cost the network $40m loss. You’re not a martyr, you’re a joke. Now go lick your wounds and STFU
Now maybe non talented Kimmel is next. Another non funny joke she just wastes air time.
I have disliked this show for years glad to see it gone, May is too far out. Why not August?
Worthless little Marxist pule.
What happened to the old comment format?
just because your tv show died , does not make you a martyr , now to be a martyr the person has to die
Mr. Colbert thinks way to much of himself. At my house his face on the TV screen resulted in quick channel change or the off button.
