A White House spokesperson issued a stern warning to Joy Behar, a co-host on the ABC daytime talk show “The View” indicating that the program could face the chopping block if her relentless tirades against President Donald Trump continue. This warning comes in the wake of Behar’s latest on-air attack against the President, which occurred on Wednesday.
During the broadcast, Behar and her fellow hosts were discussing President Trump’s call for former President Barack Obama to be criminally investigated. Trump’s assertion was that Obama allegedly manufactured intelligence to initiate the Trump-Russia collusion narrative. Behar, in response, questioned the events of January 6th, stating, “First of all, who tried to overthrow the government on Jan. 6? Who was that again? That was not Obama.” She then launched into a personal attack, suggesting Trump’s animosity towards Obama stems from jealousy. “The thing about him is he’s so jealous of Obama, because Obama is everything that he is not: Trim, smart, handsome, happily married, and can sing Al Green’s song ‘Let’s Stay Together’ better than Al Green. And Trump cannot stand it. It’s driving him crazy. Green is not a good color,” Behar declared.
Taylor Rogers, a White House spokesperson, provided a statement to Fox News Digital, directly addressing the show’s viewership numbers and hinting at a potential cancellation. “Joy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome,” Rogers stated. “It’s no surprise that ‘The View’s ratings hit an all-time low last year. She should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump’s historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off-air.”
In a counter-response provided to Entertainment Weekly, a representative for “The View” defended the show’s performance. The spokesperson asserted that the show is actually “up in total viewers and women 18-49, versus the comparable weeks last season, to its most-watched in four years.” Furthermore, they claimed that “season to date, ‘The View’ is ranking No. 1 in households and total viewers among all network daytime talk shows and news programs for the fifth straight season.”
Just last week, CBS announced the cancellation of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” scheduled to end in May 2026. While CBS and its parent company, Paramount, attributed the decision to purely financial reasons, citing that the show was reportedly losing the network $40 million annually, many liberal commentators have suggested a political motivation behind the cancellation, given Colbert’s consistent anti-Trump commentary. This narrative, however, is challenged by reports indicating that Colbert’s manager was aware of the show’s impending cancellation weeks before the host was informed. Multiple sources have corroborated that the decision was indeed “truly driven by financials.”
