What started as a casual food review turned into a life-threatening ordeal for two influencers when an SUV came crashing through the front of a Houston restaurant, turning a quiet Saturday brunch into chaos.
Nina Santiago, widely known as NinaUnrated, and her co-host Patrick Blackwood were filming a food segment for their YouTube channel at Cuvée’s Culinary Creations when disaster struck. The pair had just begun reviewing salmon sliders—caught on camera—when a vehicle suddenly burst through the restaurant’s window, sending glass flying and patrons into panic.
“This glass came out of nowhere,” Santiago wrote on Instagram. “I had just bitten into a delicious salmon slider.”
In video footage that’s since gone viral, Santiago and Blackwood are seen diving out of their booth while dazed employees and customers struggle to comprehend what just happened. Shattered glass blanketed the floor, and screams echoed through the dining area. The video captures the raw shock of a moment that could have easily turned deadly.
After the crash, both Santiago and Blackwood were rushed to the emergency room. Though they sustained injuries and required stitches, they were discharged the same day. “This is the second accident this month,” Santiago said emotionally. “The fact that we walked away from both… maybe I’m just delusional right now, but it’s like I want to break down and cry, and I just can’t.”
“This experience showed me who truly matters; life’s too short for grudges or anger,” Santiago shared on social media. “Let go, forgive, live in the now, and cherish those around you—this could’ve been our last meal.”
Blackwood echoed her thoughts, stating, “Grateful to see another day, walking away from the small stuff with a big purpose! Live bold, love deep, and make every moment count.”
Cuvée’s responded to the ordeal with grace, reposting the video and writing in their Instagram Story: “It was definitely a crazy weekend at Cuvée’s. We’re just thanking God everyone is safe!”
