“The View” co-host Ana Navarro lashed out at First Lady Melania Trump for her recent letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin urging an end to the war in Ukraine. The letter, delivered during President Donald Trump’s summit with Putin in Alaska, was a heartfelt appeal to stop the suffering of Ukrainian children—a message that should have united people in support of peace. Instead, it drew sneers from liberal media voices who seem more interested in scoring political points than supporting genuine efforts to protect innocent lives.

“Mr. Putin, you can singlehandedly restore their melodic laughter,” Melania wrote. “In protecting the innocence of these children, you will do more than serve Russia alone—you serve humanity itself.”

But instead of praising the First Lady’s bold move into the international humanitarian spotlight, Navarro called the letter “so hypocritical you almost can’t believe it.” She claimed Melania’s advocacy for Ukrainian children rings hollow due to her husband’s immigration policies and budget cuts to certain aid programs.

Navarro questioned, “How many [immigrant] children are living with the fear of their parents being dragged through the streets of America?” She added, “Maybe she should turn around and say the exact same thing to her husband, because there are children in America crying, suffering, going to bed in fear…”

It didn’t stop there. Navarro doubled down on Instagram hours later, sarcastically remarking, “So Melania, it’s good you write a letter to Putin. Now, how about you write one to the man you sleep with… oh, wait.” It was a personal jab with no constructive purpose.

Unfortunately, this isn’t a one-off. Navarro and her co-hosts, including Sunny Hostin, have made a habit of targeting Mrs. Trump. Hostin previously claimed that Melania “hates” her husband and “wants to take him out,” citing absurd reasons like Christmas decorations and Rose Garden renovations.

Melania Trump’s letter wasn’t political. It was a mother, a humanitarian, and a First Lady speaking out for the most vulnerable. The response from the Left says more about them than it does about her. While liberals attack her character, conservatives recognize leadership that rises above the noise to fight for what truly matters—peace, children, and dignity.
