Morning show anchor faceplants during live pullup segment

New York City – FOX 5’s Rosanna Scotto, a veteran voice in conservative-leaning morning media, took a brief—but memorable—fall during a live segment on “Good Day New York” Friday morning. And in true professional fashion, she handled it with toughness, grace, and humor.

The 67-year-old anchor, a staple on the network since the Reagan era, was participating in a fitness segment with celebrity trainer Kenny Santucci when things suddenly went sideways—literally.

Scotto, who had just completed four consecutive pull-ups with help on live TV, let go of the bar while Santucci was still supporting her legs. As gravity took over, the respected broadcaster found herself momentarily flat on the studio floor—shoes flying off mid-fall.

Her cohost Curt Menefee and Santucci reacted instantly, rushing to assist the longtime newswoman. The moment, which aired live from FOX 5’s Manhattan studio, left viewers stunned—but also impressed.

You okay?” Menefee asked, helping her up.

True to her no-nonsense, New York roots, Scotto immediately cracked a smile and laughed off the mishap.
