‘Prepare for war’ Hegseth’s address to top brass announcing sweeping reforms is FIRE

by

In a fiery and unapologetic address to top military leadership Tuesday, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth made clear that the days of “woke garbage” in the U.S. armed forces are officially over.

Speaking at Quantico to a room full of senior military brass, Hegseth — a former Army officer and longtime conservative firebrand — laid out his aggressive plan to strip the military of divisive identity politics and return it to its core mission: preparing for and winning wars.

“It is my mission to uproot the obvious distractions that made us less capable and less lethal,” Hegseth declared, in reference to the deeply entrenched diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs embedded in the Pentagon under previous administrations.

Hegseth didn’t mince words. “No more identity months, DEI offices, dudes in dresses,” he said, delivering the line with his characteristic clarity and conviction. “No more climate change worship, no more division, distraction or gender delusions, no more debris.”

The former Fox News host and Trump-appointed Secretary of War framed his agenda as a course correction after what he described as years of institutional decay under “foolish and reckless political leaders” who, in his words, had turned “the Pentagon into the woke department.”

“That era,” Hegseth said flatly, “is over.”

Hegseth described his strategy not as ideological but as a necessary reform to restore excellence, discipline, and meritocracy within the ranks. “We’re clearing out the debris, removing distractions, clearing the way for leaders to be leaders,” he said.

“You might say, we’re ending the war on warriors.”

The Secretary slammed the culture of mediocrity and promotion by political box-checking that he claims has infected senior ranks. “Too many officers have risen for the wrong reasons — based on their race, based on gender quotas, based on historic so-called firsts,” he said. “We are DONE with that s***.”

In what may be one of the most sweeping reforms to military fitness standards in decades, Hegseth also announced a new mandatory physical training regimen for all officers — including senior leadership.

“It’s unacceptable to see fat generals and admirals in the halls of the Pentagon, and leading all around the world,” he said. “It’s a BAD LOOK, and it’s not who we are!”

“Today, at my direction, every member of the Joint Force at every rank is required to take the PT test twice a year, as well as meet height and weight requirements twice a year. EVERY year of service.”

A Warrior’s Military, Not a Social Experiment

Hegseth’s vision, sharply in line with President Trump’s second-term priorities, emphasizes combat readiness over political correctness. It’s a direct rebuke of the DEI-heavy policies embraced during the Biden years — policies many veterans and conservatives say undermined morale, unit cohesion, and warfighting capability.

In a closing message that echoed the ethos of Reagan-era strength, Hegseth left no doubt about his intent to rebuild the military into a fearsome, unapologetic force.

“Prepare for war,” he said. “Not because we want war. Because we want peace.”

“The only people who deserve peace are those who are willing to wage war to defend it. That’s why pacifism is so naive and dangerous… either you protect your people and sovereignty or you will be subservient to something or SOMEONE.”
