White House claps back at Ariana Grande’s anti-Trump post, trolls pop star with her own lyrics

by

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Pop singer Ariana Grande put herself in the political crosshairs this week after sharing a blistering anti-Trump message on social media — and the White House didn’t let it slide. Responding with a dose of sarcasm and lyrical jabs, a spokesperson for the Trump administration hit back using Grande’s own song titles to underline what they called the president’s success.

“Save your tears, Ariana,” said White House spokesperson Kush Desai in a statement Monday, invoking the name of the singer’s hit remix with The Weeknd. “Because President Trump’s actions ended Joe Biden’s inflation crisis and are bringing in trillions in new investments.”

Desai also reminded the pop star — who rose to fame on Nickelodeon before becoming one of the music industry’s biggest names — that the president had been an advocate for her fans. “He even signed an executive order just like magic that paved the way for the FTC to crack down on Ticketmaster for ripping off Ariana Grande’s concert-going fans. Get well soon, Ariana!”

The statement comes in response to Grande, 32, reposting a politically-charged message on Instagram originally shared by left-wing podcast host Matt Bernstein. The post took aim at the 77+ million Americans who cast their votes for Donald Trump in the 2024 election, suggesting they should be ashamed of the country’s current state.

“I want to check in with Trump voters,” the post began. “It’s been 250 days. Now that immigrants have been violently torn from their families… now that trans people have been blamed for virtually everything… now that free speech is on the brink of collapse… has your life gotten better?”

The inflammatory message went on to list a litany of liberal talking points, blaming Trump for everything from high grocery prices to fears in the LGBTQ+ community, while questioning whether Trump supporters had seen any real improvement in their lives.

Conservatives were quick to push back. Commentators noted the irony in blaming Trump for policies that have only recently reversed Biden-era damage. Trump’s economic record — including falling inflation rates, growing job numbers, and tough border policies — has been broadly praised by free-market advocates and working-class Americans alike.

Critics also pointed out the hypocrisy of Hollywood elites who rail against “inequality” from their multi-million dollar mansions while ignoring the economic pain caused by Democrat mismanagement.

Ariana Grande has yet to respond directly to the White House statement.

  1. “Immigrants”! Standard misuse of the true words “illegal aliens” that should be used. I know of not one single legal immigrant who was “torn” (another emotional word used to replace “arrested”) from their home unless you count resisting arrest as being “torn” from their homes. I’m also sorry, Ariana, if you are soblind that you cannot see the amount of so called “trans” maniacs wh are causing hate and murder in such disproportionate numbers at the behest of the former democratic party leaders now in control of that beehive of malcontents that you can’t admit the obvious. Stick to making silly music for kids and let the adults take care of the world.
