While peacefully sitting outside Union Station in Washington D.C. as part of his “Fearless Tour,” Cam Higby and fellow journalist David Khait were offering open debates to passersby—a First Amendment outreach the Left doesn’t seem to tolerate anymore.
That’s when an unhinged woman, later identified as Taylor Forte, inserted herself between the two men, appearing to provoke them with a barrage of insults and physical aggression. The moment was captured on video and shared by Higby, who works with Today is America.
The footage (SEE VIDEO BELOW) shows Forte attempting to snatch Higby’s MAGA hat before throwing it at him—knocking him out of his chair in the process. Throughout the encounter, she hurled accusations like “You’re evil and you’re violent!” and “You’re not Christians!”
After repeated warnings to back off, Forte escalated the confrontation by laying hands on Higby. That’s when he deployed pepper spray in self-defense. Forte stumbled into a bush while hurling one last profanity—“Stupid b***!”—proving the Left’s version of “peaceful protest” often ends with federal charges and some garden foliage.
“She lunged at me and attacked me after multiple warnings to stop touching me,” Higby told Fox News Digital. “I think I show incredible restraint.”
And that’s putting it mildly. Even when faced with aggression, Higby didn’t retaliate with force—he chose the least violent option available. “Using Mace is way better than throwing punches. I don’t know what she has on her,” he added.
In a second clip, U.S. Park Police arrive and take Forte into custody. According to Higby, she didn’t go quietly. “It took four federal officers to subdue her,” he recounted. “Her father showed up yelling, ‘Why did you spray my daughter?’—as she’s literally fighting the cops.”
Authorities confirmed they responded to a “dispute” around 8 PM and that Forte was hit with “multiple charges,” though specifics weren’t immediately released.
Incredibly, Forte herself took to social media—proudly identifying as “the LEFTIST ATTACKER” on X —and confirmed she had been released from jail. Apparently, assaulting conservatives in public now comes with online bragging rights.
Higby, who has previously been assaulted in Seattle for his beliefs, emphasized that he carries pepper spray regularly due to the growing number of threats and attacks against conservatives in public spaces.
