In a deeply emotional new episode of the family-podcast The Osbournes Podcast, Sharon Osbourne reflected on the powerful moment she received a voicemail from Donald Trump following the death of her husband, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne.
Sharon and her children — Jack Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne — reunited for the podcast for the first time since Ozzy died on July 22 at age 76. His cause of death included cardiac arrest and complications from Parkinson’s disease.
During the show, they played President Trump’s voicemail. In it he says:
“Hi Sharon, it’s Donald Trump, and I just wanted to wish you the best and the family … Ozzy was amazing. He was an amazing guy. I met him a few times and I want to tell you he was unique in every way and talented. So, I just wanted to wish you the best and it’s a tough thing. I know how close you were. And whatever I can do … Take care of yourself. Say hello to the family. Thanks, bye.”
Jack noted the significance of the gesture, observing: “Love him or hate him, he didn’t have to call and leave a voicemail.”
Sharon responded with emphasis on the personal side of the message, making clear that her admiration was not about politics.
“Listen, when it comes to politics, we know nobody comes out a winner,” she said. “All I know is a man that I know, I worked with for a month. I spent one month with him and his wife … who was always gracious, elegant, just a delight to talk to.” “And he has always treated me with respect.”
She added: “I’m not American. I can’t vote. I don’t want to vote. I don’t vote for anyone. … But the thing is, all I know is he’s treated me with respect, your father with respect… He wanted nothing from us — nothing. Melania, the same. Nothing. And they have been great.”
In addition to the voicemail, the family shared they received a personal letter of condolence from King Charles III. Sharon described the monarch as: “a good, caring man with a good heart.”
She praised his awareness of public service, animals and environment, and noted that his gesture meant a great deal to them.
In her tribute to her late husband, she also reminded listeners of his final days: Ozzy had his last show with his original bandmates before his passing, and his death was met with tributes worldwide.

DJT, always a class act. God bless him and Ozzy’s family.
