For years, Democrats and their allies in the media have treated the Epstein files like radioactive material— best kept sealed away. Under the Biden administration, the Justice Department showed no urgency in releasing any of it, despite endless talk about “justice for the victims.” Their sudden interest now, timed conveniently to another election season, tells you everything you need to know. This isn’t about victims. It’s politics—again.

But as has become a recurring theme in the Trump era, Democratic attempts to weaponize information against him are doing what they always do: backfiring in spectacular fashion.

The latest example is a newly surfaced 2013 email showing that Dynamic SRG, a Democrat-funded political group, reached out to Jeffrey Epstein to boost a then-little-known freshman congressman: Hakeem Jeffries. In their pitch, they labeled Jeffries “Brooklyn’s Barack”—a comparison so over-the-top it borders on parody—and urged Epstein to support a major Democrat fundraising push.

So while Democrats spent years pretending Epstein was some sort of right-wing problem, their own operatives were busy courting him for political cash and influence. And remember: these revelations are coming out because Democrats pushed for the document release now, apparently believing it would embarrass Trump.

Instead, the documents showcase something very different:

Epstein hated Trump and believed Trump had “squealed” to law enforcement about his sex ring. Epstein even attempted to assist Democrats during questioning to damage Trump politically.

In other words, the narrative the Left hoped to construct—the idea that Trump was somehow aligned with Epstein—has melted on contact with actual evidence.

To make matters worse for Democrats, the new material implicates their current House Minority Leader, the man they had been grooming as their next Obama-esque figure. “Brooklyn’s Barack” suddenly looks a lot less like a compliment and a lot more like an indictment of the party’s willingness to cozy up to anyone—even Epstein—for political gain.

Democrats wanted a weapon. What they got was a boomerang.

And once again, Trump walks away unscathed while the people trying to damage him are left explaining why their operatives were emailing Epstein for fundraising help.
