Trump amps up ‘seriously retarded’ label: ‘Yeah, I think there’s something wrong with Walz’

by

In a political skirmish that lit up Thanksgiving weekend hotter than a deep-fried turkey, President Donald Trump didn’t just stand by his sharp critique of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz—he amped it up, declaring bluntly Sunday night, “There’s something wrong with him.”

Fresh off his holiday at Mar-a-Lago, the 79-year-old president returned to Washington and doubled down on the comments that triggered Democratic outrage nationwide. Trump originally torched Walz—now the Democrats’ 2024 VP nominee—for his handling of immigration and Minnesota’s massive Somali influx.

Trump didn’t mince words. “I think there’s something wrong with him. Absolutely,” he said. “Anybody that would do what he did, anybody that would allow those people into his state and pay billions of dollars out to Somalia… It’s not even a country because it doesn’t function like a country. It’s got a name but it doesn’t function like a country.”

Then he added the haymaker: “There is something wrong with Walz.”

The original Thanksgiving-night blast came as Trump warned that Walz had allowed Somali migrants to overrun Minnesota:

“Somalian gangs are roving the streets looking for ‘prey’ as our wonderful people stay locked in their apartments and houses hoping against hope that they will be left alone.”

And then, the line that made Democrats clutch their pearls:

“The seriously retarded Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, does nothing, either through fear, incompetence, or both.”

Trump’s supporters argue he’s simply saying what many Minnesotans have been shouting for years—especially after federal prosecutors charged at least 78 defendants, many from the Somali diaspora in the Twin Cities, in a massive child-nutrition program fraud scheme that produced over 50 convictions. A jaw-dropping scandal, yet Walz and Minnesota Democrats still demand everyone pretend the state’s immigration policies are a glowing success.

Walz, clearly rattled, attempted a counterpunch—but it landed about as hard as a damp snowball.

He jumped on X demanding Trump “Release the MRI results,” trying to cast doubt on the “perfect” medical checkup Trump had previously touted on October 10.

Walz expanded his attack on NBC’s Meet the Press, painting Trump as some sort of Thanksgiving-night madman:

“Here we got a guy… this guy is apparently in a room, ranting about everything else. This is not normal behavior. It is not healthy.”

“It’s clear the president’s fading physically… ranting, you know, crazily at midnight on Thanksgiving… there are reasons for us to be concerned.”

Democrats may call this an attack; Republicans call it whining.

Unbothered, Trump waved off the MRI conspiracy talk with presidential confidence:

“If they want to release it, it’s OK with me to release it.”

Classic Trump—push him, and he pushes back twice as hard.

Democrats can huff about tone all they want, but Trump’s criticism highlights a very real concern: Minnesota’s leadership under Walz has been asleep at the wheel while immigration, crime, and fraud skyrocket.

Trump isn’t saying anything the people living there aren’t already whispering.
