Hollywood Who?
Looks like Cheryl Hines has traded Hollywood’s virtue-signaling cliques for something a little more grounded: actual America. The Curb Your Enthusiasm star, who was recently “ditched” by her woke Tinseltown pals, made a striking entrance into the MAGA universe—and judging by the dazzling all-white outfit and easy laughter, she fit right in.
Hines, 60, joined Melania Trump and Usha Vance at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, where the trio spent the day meeting military spouses and assembling holiday care packages for deployed troops. In other words: doing something real, not just hashtag activism.
Wrapped in a turtleneck sweater emblazoned with the American flag, wide-leg pants, and a belted overcoat, Hines looked far more at home rubbing shoulders with patriotic women than she ever did among Hollywood’s cancel-happy elite. Her blonde hair neatly tucked back, the actress smiled and chatted easily—a woman welcomed, not judged.
And make no mistake: welcomed she is.
This public embrace comes after reports that her “woke Hollywood friends” had turned on her—apparently unable to handle her marriage to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and her refusal to fully toe the progressive line.
Hines hasn’t hidden the toll her husband’s political rise took on her social circle. She told CBS News:
“I have a few friends, when Bobby stepped into the political arena, it became too difficult emotionally for them to stay close – and I understand it.”
But the disapproval didn’t stop there. In October, insiders slammed her supposedly “unrecognizable” transformation, calling it “beyond comprehension.” Ah yes—the familiar Hollywood routine: diversity of opinion is celebrated… unless you actually have one.
If anything signaled that Hines is done playing by Hollywood’s rules, it was her fiery appearance on The View promoting her memoir Unscripted. What was meant to be a book chat turned into a full-blown interrogation, with Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, and Sunny Hostin pouncing the moment RFK Jr.’s name came up.
Hines didn’t wilt.
Defending her husband’s work, she told the panel:
“He has dedicated his career to suing big corporations because of toxins that have been affecting people’s health… He was part of the team that sued Monsanto because of Roundup, a pesticide that was causing cancer… He sued Dupont, he sued Exxon, and he sued these companies for health reasons, because they were causing health problems.”
Sunny Hostin fired back, labeling Kennedy “the least qualified Department of Health and Human Services head that we’ve had in history.”
Hines, stunned, shot back:
“Less qualified than an economist?”
Hostin doubled down, Hines doubled back, and the clash only escalated.
When Hostin accused Kennedy of causing “a lot of misinformation, a lot of chaos, a lot of confusion,” Hines pushed forward:
“Listen, we all have different views here. And when you say misinformation, disinformation, we could go back to Covid when…”
Hostin interrupted with a sharp jab:
“He’s connected circumcision to autism.”
The exchange made it crystal clear: Cheryl Hines isn’t afraid of Hollywood’s hostility, nor daytime TV’s. And unlike many in her industry, she’s standing by her husband—even when it costs her social capital.
Now, as she stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Melania and Usha Vance, it’s obvious: Cheryl Hines has found new allies who don’t melt at the mere sight of an opposing viewpoint. After years of navigating Hollywood’s ideological minefields, she seems at ease among women who actually respect the flag she proudly wore across her sweater.
Someone tell Larry David: His former co-star has a new ensemble cast—one that doesn’t cancel at the first sign of disagreement.
When asked how she thought David felt about Kennedy joining President Trump’s Cabinet, she responded with refreshing honesty:
“That’ll be a question for Larry, but let’s be honest: he can’t love it.”
No, he probably can’t.
But America First women? They seem to love her just fine.
