The political left went into full-blown hysterics Tuesday after the Trump administration launched a new White House website laying out its case on the January 6 Capitol riot—one that shatters years of carefully curated Democrat talking points.
Instead of recycling the now-familiar “insurrection” script, the site digs into uncomfortable realities the media and Democrats have worked overtime to suppress: catastrophic security failures, selective prosecutions, and a weaponized federal response aimed squarely at Trump supporters.
Most explosive of all, the website highlights how Democrats themselves played a direct role in the breakdown that led to the chaos—starting with lax Capitol security overseen by then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi. It also honors peaceful January 6 demonstrators who never entered the Capitol, never committed violence, yet were hunted down, prosecuted, and publicly smeared as enemies of the state.
That, apparently, was too much truth for the usual media gatekeepers to handle.
CNN’s resident “fact-checker” Daniel Dale rushed to X to denounce the site as heresy:

But the website fires back—hard—arguing that the real fake history is the Democrat-approved version Americans have been force-fed for years.
“In truth, it was the Democrats who staged the real insurrection by certifying a fraud-ridden election, ignoring widespread irregularities, and weaponizing federal agencies to hunt down dissenters, all while Pelosi’s own security lapses invited the chaos they later exploited to seize and consolidate power,” the Jan. 6 website reads.
“This gaslighting narrative allowed them to persecute innocent Americans, silence opposition, and distract from their own role in undermining democracy,” it continues.
The site accuses Democrats of having “masterfully reversed reality” and applauds President Donald Trump for finally setting the record straight—most notably by issuing sweeping pardons and commutations for January 6 defendants who were wildly overcharged, denied due process, or held for years without trial.
According to the website, these Americans were treated not as citizens but as political prisoners.
The site also takes direct aim at former Vice President Mike Pence, rejecting years of establishment excuses and calling out his refusal to challenge disputed electoral votes.
“Vice President Mike Pence, who had the opportunity to return disputed electoral slates to state legislatures for review and decertification under the United States Constitution, chooses not to exercise that power in an act of cowardice and sabotage,” the website reads.
“Instead, Pence presides over the certification of contested electors, undermining President Trump’s efforts to address documented fraud and ending any chance to correct the election steal,” it continues.
That assertion triggered instant outrage from the left, which immediately revived its favorite buzzword—“the Big Lie.”

The outrage didn’t stop there. The site also places responsibility for the riot squarely on the shoulders of Capitol Police leadership, citing video evidence that contradicts the official narrative.
“Video evidence shows officers inexplicably removing barricades, opening Capitol doors, and even waving attendees inside the building—actions that facilitated entry—while simultaneously deploying violent force against others,” the website reads. “These inconsistent and provocative tactics turned a peaceful demonstration into chaos.”
It further condemns police tactics used on peaceful crowds:
“aggressively fire[d] tear gas, flash bangs, and rubber munitions into crowds of peaceful protesters, injuring many and deliberately escalating tensions.”
That claim sent anti-Trump operatives into a fury.
