Sen. John Fetterman is once again standing nearly alone inside today’s Democratic Party when it comes to confronting open antisemitism.
The Pennsylvania Democrat took to X this week to condemn a disturbing scene out of New York City, where protesters were filmed chanting, “Say it loud, say it clear, we support Hamas here,” just steps from a Jewish school and a place of worship.
Unlike many of his colleagues, Fetterman did not hide behind euphemisms or activist-approved language.
These assholes in NYC proudly chant for Hamas in close proximity to a Jewish school and place of worship.
This is menacing and intimidation.
The Jewish community deserves relief and protection from these raging antisemites. https://t.co/yJdVT5Qnx8

The blunt response cut through the usual Democratic silence — or worse, excuses — that now routinely accompany left-wing demonstrations that cross into outright intimidation of Jews.
And the Hamas chant was hardly an isolated incident.
Just days later in New York City, another group of activists escalated the rhetoric even further, chanting: “Kristi Noem will hang… Save a life, kill an ICE… F**k Charlie Kirk.” The message was unmistakable: political violence is no longer whispered on the radical left — it’s shouted in public.
This is the atmosphere now defining New York, a city that has undergone decades of deliberate political and demographic engineering by Democrats. Voters there recently elected a self-described Muslim communist as mayor, a choice already producing consequences. One of the new mayor’s early moves included removing protections for the Jewish community — a decision critics say emboldened extremists almost immediately.
As one observer noted online, “Fascinating isn’t that one of Mamdani’s first act is removing protections for the Jewish community and within days Islamists are engaging in intimidation against Jews.”
Fetterman’s comments struck a chord on X:
“These are Mamdani supporters,” wrote Paul A. Szypula.
“Well electing that mayor just destroyed what little relief there was left! Sad for NYC,” added Daniel Weber.
“Sometimes I feel like @SenFettermanPA is the only member of Congress that is not bought & paid for!” one user wrote.
Another commenter framed the stakes even more starkly: “For the midterm election, it’s simple: you either vote for the terrorist party (Democrats) or you vote for the American party (Republicans/MAGA)!”
Fetterman’s political evolution has not gone unnoticed, particularly among conservatives who rarely agree with him on policy but increasingly acknowledge his willingness to call out extremism when it matters.
“Man… Fetterman is awesome… hate to say it, but we need more like him in DC,” one user conceded.
