Legacy media melts down as DHS releases damning new video of ICE shooting

by

The Department of Homeland Security is firing back after days of what it calls deceptive and incomplete media coverage surrounding the fatal shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis.

Over the weekend, DHS released a three-and-a-half-minute video showing what federal officials say were the critical moments leading up to the confrontation. The footage, posted Saturday on the agency’s official X account, appears to capture part of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation already underway that morning.

In the clip, a car horn blares as the camera sweeps across a residential street. Parked in the roadway is what authorities believe to be Good’s Honda Pilot — positioned in a way that federal officials argue interfered with agents attempting to carry out their duties. The video abruptly ends before the shooting itself, but DHS insists the broader context has been deliberately ignored by critics.

Accompanying the video, DHS issued a blistering rebuke of the press and left-wing activists who immediately rushed to judgment.

“The media continues to fail the American people in their reporting on the events in Minneapolis. New evidence shows that the anti-ICE agitator was STALKING and IMPEDING a law enforcement operation over the course of the morning. The evidence speaks for itself. The legacy media has lost the trust of the American people,” the account wrote.

The video’s release comes as political tensions boil over. Federal officials continue to defend the ICE agent involved, maintaining that he acted reasonably and within the law while attempting to protect himself and fellow officers. Democrats and progressive activist groups, meanwhile, have seized on the incident as another rallying cry against immigration enforcement — even as the nation faces record illegal border crossings and growing public concern over lawlessness.
