For years, the left has peddled a dark fairy tale claiming Donald J. Trump was somehow in league with Jeffrey Epstein. Now, newly released Department of Justice documents are ripping that narrative to shreds—and exposing who actually sounded the alarm while everyone else looked the other way.
Buried in the latest Epstein document dump is a 2019 FBI interview that reads like a political gut punch to Democrats and Never-Trumpers alike. The interview was conducted with Michael Reiter, the former Palm Beach police chief who helped lead the original investigation into Epstein back in the mid-2000s—long before Epstein became a household name.
According to reporting first uncovered by the Miami Herald, Reiter told FBI agents that Trump personally called him in 2006, right as Epstein was being investigated for the sexual abuse of a 14-year-old girl. Trump was calling to praise law enforcement for finally acting.
“Thank goodness you’re stopping him — everyone has known he’s been doing this,” Trump told Reiter.
Let that sink in.
While today’s media elites and Democrat politicians pretend they were always suspicious of Epstein, Trump was openly applauding police for shutting him down nearly two decades ago.
And it didn’t stop there.
Reiter told the FBI that Trump went even further, warning him about Epstein’s closest associate, Ghislaine Maxwell—now serving time for her role as Epstein’s madam. Trump reportedly labeled Maxwell as Epstein’s “operative,” called her “evil,” and urged investigators to focus on her activities.
That’s not the behavior of a co-conspirator. That’s the behavior of someone who wanted Epstein exposed.
Reiter also stated that Trump had once encountered Epstein in a social setting where teenagers were present—and immediately left.
Trump, Reiter said, “got the hell out of there.”
Even more damaging to the smear machine: Reiter told the FBI that Trump admitted to kicking Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago entirely. Not exactly the move of a man trying to stay in Epstein’s good graces.
In fact, Reiter said Trump was among the very first people to contact him once word spread that Epstein was under investigation—hardly the reaction of someone with something to hide.
Yet for the past year, radical Democrats—along with some so-called “Republicans” like Thomas Massie and Marjorie Taylor Greene—have pushed the same tired insinuations, hoping that repeating the lie often enough would make it stick.
Instead, the truth is boomeranging back—hard.
Even ABC News has previously acknowledged Reiter’s role as a vocal critic of how Epstein’s case was mishandled. In 2006, Reiter publicly blasted a local prosecutor for dragging the case to a grand jury instead of filing direct charges.
“Reiter apologized to the victims for the way the case had been handled by the prosecutor and then coordinated with federal authorities to launch another investigation into Epstein, which ultimately ended in Epstein’s non-prosecution agreement in 2008,” ABC reported.
That sweetheart deal—crafted by the political class and powerful attorneys—protected Epstein for years. Trump wasn’t part of that cover-up. He was calling it out.
Predictably, an unnamed FBI official has attempted to muddy the waters, telling the Herald:
“We are not aware of any corroborating evidence that the President contacted law enforcement 20 years ago.”
But Reiter’s sworn statements to federal investigators remain on the record—while the media’s accusations against Trump have always relied on insinuation, not evidence.
Meanwhile, Ghislaine Maxwell has been paraded before the House Oversight Committee in what can only be described as political theater. Her so-called “testimony” consisted almost entirely of invoking the Fifth Amendment.
Over and over again. But there was an eyebrow-raising twist.
“She invoked her Fifth Amendment right not to testify before the committee, although her lawyer noted that she is ‘prepared to speak fully and honestly if granted clemency by President Trump,’” the Herald reported.
Translation: Maxwell may be fishing for a pardon.

No deals for Maxwell. She made her bed…… Let her rot in prison. Besides, nothing will happen to those accused unless they’re republicans.
