Scott Jennings asked what the most batsh*t thing he’s heard liberal say working at CNN

CNN senior commentator Scott Jennings named the craziest things he had ever heard a liberal say while on-air during a Friday interview.

Jennings said on “It’s A Numbers Game with Ryan Girdusky” that he was stunned by Touré, the host of the “Truth Talks” podcast, suggesting that President Donald Trump was never actually shot in the ear in Butler, Pennsylvania. Touré made the remark during a July 18, 2025, segment on “CNN NewsNight,” where he suggested that Trump was only “supposedly” shot in the ear because Americans never got information on the injury from his doctors.

“Awhile back, I was on with a guy who literally sat there next to me, Touré is his name. He literally said he did not believe that Donald Trump was shot in Butler, Pennsylvania. So we’re talking about political violence and I said ‘well you know, the president has some experience with this.’ And he said, ‘well, I don’t know if he was shot.’ And I thought for a minute he might be kidding, no, he is an honest to goodness ear truther. He does not believe. And his reasoning was, ‘well I wasn’t there. I wasn’t there.’ But he’s an ear truther.”

Republican Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson, a former physician with direct knowledge of Trump’s injury, stated in a July 26, 2024, statement that there is “absolutely no evidence” anything other than a bullet wounded Trump’s ear. A photograph taken by The New York Times’ Doug Mills also showed a bullet flying directly near Trump’s head just moments before he began bleeding.

Another panelist also told Jennings that they would advise someone to interfere with a federal law enforcement situation. During a Feb. 21 segment of “CNN NewsNight,” Democratic Tennessee congressional candidate Justin Pearson would not commit to supporting the deportation of a single illegal alien, including those with criminal records.

“Even the other night, that Pearson fellow from Tennessee. Not being able to come up with a single kind of illegal immigrant that you would want to deport … I mean, this guy’s running for Congress,” Jennings told Girdusky.

Jennings has made frequent appearances on CNN as the lone conservative defending the political right’s positions against a left-leaning panel. He pushed back Montel Williams’ argument that Tyler Robinson killed Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk out of love for his transgender lover during a Sept. 17 segment.

  1. I’m sure, almost everything he heard on the Communist News Network ( CNN), is in the category of stupidest things he ever heard.
