‘Smoking a doobie’: Lawmaker torches media over immigration voting denial

by

A blunt-talking lawmaker lit the fuse this week, saying out loud what many voters have been whispering for years: was the border crisis just incompetence… or something more calculated?

“Many Americans believe that this was a plot,” he said, pointing the finger straight at President Biden and Democrats. The theory? That waves of illegal migrants were allowed in with a long-game political payoff in mind.

He stopped short of endorsing it outright — but didn’t exactly dismiss it either.

“I’m not saying that’s true,” he insisted, before twisting the knife: “but you’ve been smoking a doobie if you don’t think that a lot of Americans don’t believe that.”

According to the lawmaker, the real disconnect isn’t just at the border — it’s in the press room.

“When we point it out, many members of the press go catatonic and foam at the mouth,” he charged, blasting media figures for acting like the concern itself is off-limits.

His verdict? The media are “living in la-la land.”

Meanwhile, out in the real world, skepticism is boiling over. Fair or not, he says, millions of Americans think migrants are already influencing elections — and chipping away at what he called “the sanctity” of the vote. That’s where the political battle lines are being drawn.

Enter the SAVE Act — pitched as a fix to restore confidence in elections at a time when trust is, frankly, circling the drain.

“It’s about trying to get the American people to trust our elections,” he explained, framing the bill as a direct response to what he described as an unprecedented influx: “millions and millions and millions and millions and millions of people into our country.”
