A quiet Ohio neighborhood was shattered by a chilling, late-night confrontation that could have easily turned deadly.
Surveillance footage tells the story: a man slipping into a family’s driveway under cover of darkness, headlights off, behavior anything but ordinary. What followed was even more unsettling. The suspect was seen kneeling in the driveway, appearing to pray, before repeatedly approaching the home in the early hours of Easter Sunday.
Authorities later identified the suspect as 23-year-old Anthony Long, now under arrest and facing multiple charges.
Inside the home, the family was asleep—until loud knocking broke the silence. According to Tiffany Miller, the suspect first tried the front door with no response. Minutes later, he came back, this time pounding harder, more aggressively.
The family, startled awake, assumed it might be their daughter returning home.
“I woke up and walked up thinking my daughter was locked out and, nope, it wasn’t her,” Miller recounted. “It was a man I didn’t know. We did not respond, and again he went back to his car.”

But the danger didn’t leave.
The suspect lingered outside, waiting. When the family’s daughter finally did arrive, the situation escalated. Miller’s husband, Andy, stepped outside to confront the man—an act of courage that could have ended in tragedy.
“Hey bud, you knocking on the door?” Andy called out. What happened next was straight out of a nightmare.
According to Miller, the suspect jumped from his vehicle, brandished a knife, and began issuing explicit death threats—allegedly declaring his intent to kill “in the name of Allah” while advancing toward Andy in an aggressive manner.
Andy quickly retreated, shouting for his daughter to drive away as the suspect pressed forward. The attacker then reportedly turned his attention to the fleeing daughter, driving off in pursuit—but she managed to escape unharmed.

“The man immediately exited his vehicle, began making explicit threats to kill him, repeatedly invoking religious language, and started moving closer in an aggressive manner,” Miller said.
Miraculously, no one was physically injured. But the psychological toll is undeniable. “This was a terrifying encounter, and we are grateful no one was harmed last night,” Miller added.
Law enforcement later took Long into custody. He now faces four charges, including aggravated menacing, trespassing, and criminal damage. Bail has been set at over $75,000, much of it cash-only.
