UK-born repeat criminal accused of killing DHS agent, two others, dies in jail cell

by

The UK-born career criminal accused of unleashing a random, blood-soaked rampage across suburban Georgia is dead, found lifeless in his jail cell before he could ever face a courtroom reckoning.

Olaolukitan Adon-Abel, 26, the man cops say gunned down and stabbed three people — including a Department of Homeland Security employee — was discovered unresponsive Tuesday night inside a DeKalb County lockup. Authorities scrambled to revive him, but the effort was futile. He was pronounced dead shortly after.

Officials insist there are no signs of foul play. An internal review is underway. Cause of death? Still a mystery.

Just days earlier, police allege Adon-Abel carved a path of chaos that began in the dead of night and ended with a federal employee bleeding out on a quiet morning dog walk.

The spree reportedly kicked off around 1 a.m. outside a fast-food joint in DeKalb County, where 31-year-old Prianna Weathers was gunned down. Hours later, the suspect allegedly drove miles to Brookhaven and opened fire on 49-year-old Tony Mathews, a homeless man sleeping outside a grocery store.

But the most chilling attack came after sunrise.

Authorities say Adon-Abel tracked down DHS auditor Lauren Bullis, 40, as she walked her dog “Sancho” — then shot and stabbed her in a brutal assault that stunned the community. Her dog fled during the chaos but was later recovered by her grieving husband.

And then, just like that, the suspect’s story ends behind bars. No trial. No testimony. No answers.

Adon-Abel wasn’t some unknown drifter. He had a rap sheet that reads like a warning siren: sexual battery, assault with a deadly weapon, battery against a police officer, obstruction, vandalism. Yet somehow, he became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2022 while serving in the Navy.

According to DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin, “He possesses a prior criminal record that includes convictions for sexual battery, battery against a police officer, obstruction, and assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism, and now stands accused of murdering [DHS] employee Lauren Bullis by shooting and stabbing her while she walked her dog.”

“These acts of pure evil have devastated our department, and my prayers are with the families of the victims,” Mullin added.

Pure evil — and apparently hiding in plain sight.

Even more bizarre: roommates told investigators the suspect had stormed out of the house after a heated argument over… air conditioning. Hours later, three people were dead. No clear motive. No known connection between victims. Just random violence — the kind that keeps ordinary Americans looking over their shoulders.

And now, the man accused of it all is gone.

The justice system won’t get its day. The victims’ families won’t get answers. And the public is left with a haunting question:

How does someone with a record like that slip through the cracks — only to leave devastation behind?
