Melania Trump unloads on ‘coward’ Jimmy Kimmel, calls on ABC to remove him: ‘Enough is enough’

by

If late-night comedy is supposed to be funny, someone forgot to tell Jimmy Kimmel.

The ABC “funnyman” is in hot water after taking a swipe at First Lady Melania Trump—and this time, she’s not staying silent. In a blistering statement posted Monday, Melania torched Kimmel’s latest monologue as something far darker than humor.

“Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy – his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America,” she wrote, pulling no punches.

“People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate,” she added, before taking direct aim at the network shielding him: “A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him. Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand. How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community.”

The outrage stems from Kimmel’s parody of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, where he lobbed what many are calling a tasteless jab just days before a real-life security scare rocked Washington. During his bit, Kimmel sneered: “Our First Lady, Melania, is here. Look at Melania, so beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow.”

He doubled down with another crack about her birthday: “She’s planning to celebrate at home the same way she always does, looking out a window and whispering, ‘What have I done?’”

Critics didn’t hesitate. Conservative voices online lit into Kimmel, with commentators blasting the routine as “sick,” “tasteless,” and devoid of anything resembling humor. One critic fumed that you’d have to be “deranged” to laugh. Another didn’t mince words: “He’s not broken. He’s evil.”

And then came the timing—because just two days later, satire collided with reality in the worst way.

At the actual Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, chaos erupted. What began as a glittering evening of media elites and political power players turned into a scene of panic when loud noises sent Secret Service agents scrambling and guests diving for cover.

President Donald Trump and the First Lady were rushed to safety as confusion swept the ballroom. The suspect, later identified as Cole Tomas Allen, allegedly stormed past security before being subdued. Authorities say he may have been targeting members of the administration.

The chilling episode even echoed history—the same hotel where Ronald Reagan was shot in 1981.

Trump, ever defiant, addressed the nation hours later: “When you’re impactful, they go after you. They seem to think he was a lone wolf. We’re not going to let anybody take over our society.”

A Secret Service agent was injured but survived, thanks to protective gear. Which brings the focus right back to Kimmel.

The question now is whether anyone at ABC is actually listening.
