After years of surviving campaign chaos, media trench warfare, and enough airport coffee to stop a horse, White House correspondent Brian Glenn is cooked. He’s hanging up the press badge, heading back to Georgia, and apparently planning a wedding with the most controversial blonde in MAGA-land: Marjorie Taylor Greene.
The Real America’s Voice correspondent surprised viewers Thursday night when he announced he was stepping away from the network — just days after Trump publicly needled him over his relationship with Greene during an Oval Office Q&A.
“You know, you act so good,” Trump told Glenn with a grin during the exchange. “I love this guy. He’s a great guy, even though I don’t love his girlfriend too much.” Classic Trump: compliment, insult, body slam — all in one sentence.
Glenn, appearing on Bolling!, sounded like a guy who’d finally realized the nonstop circus doesn’t come with dental coverage or a retirement plan.
“This has been really the only life I’ve known,” Glenn said, reflecting on years spent chasing cameras, rallies, and Trump headlines. “Especially in the last seven, eight years, following President Trump, being kind of the MAGA mouthpiece, if you will, for the Trump America First agenda.
“This past Sunday, sitting at home in Georgia, I decided that it’s time to — and I’ll use an MMA reference — it’s time to leave the gloves in the ring and walk away from what I really consider has been a great career.”
Glenn insisted he’s not bolting to another network and won’t be cashing checks from a rival conservative outlet anytime soon. Instead, the 56-year-old says he plans to focus on his health, reconnect with family, and prepare for married life with Greene.
“And of course, Marjorie and I, planning a wedding likely before the end of the year,” he revealed. “That’s a little bit of breaking news on here as well.”
Glenn’s exit comes as the once-unbreakable Trump-Greene alliance has turned into a full-blown MAGA soap opera. Greene, who spent years acting as Trump’s loudest Capitol Hill attack dog, has lately been unloading on the administration over the Jeffrey Epstein files and Trump’s hawkish foreign policy posture toward Iran.
Trump, never exactly known for subtlety, responded by branding Greene “deranged” and a “traitor” as their feud exploded into public view.
That left Glenn stuck in one of the weirdest political love triangles in modern Washington: the loyal MAGA reporter dating the president’s suddenly estranged former ally.
At one point earlier this year, Glenn joked he felt like “the little divorced kid in the middle” of the Trump-Greene breakup drama. According to reports, he eventually decided he was “going with Mom.”
And now he’s apparently going all in. For Glenn, the message Thursday night was less political than personal.
“This campaign can be grueling,” he admitted. “It can really kind of drain the life out of a lot of people. And I’m 56 years old. I’m not a young kid anymore.”
