Don Lemon unleashed another anti-Trump tirade Tuesday, this time accusing President Donald Trump of creating what he branded “white reparations” for January 6 defendants and MAGA supporters.
The ex-anchor turned YouTube commentator was apoplectic over the Trump administration’s newly announced “Anti-Weaponization Fund,” a Justice Department-backed compensation pool tied to claims of political targeting and prosecutorial abuse during the Biden years.
In a blistering monologue dripping with outrage, Lemon compared the proposed $1.776 billion fund to reparations — except, he argued, this time the checks are supposedly going to Trump supporters.
“For hundreds of years, cannot be done,” Lemon fumed while discussing reparations for descendants of slaves. “But the Justice Department put together $1.776 billion by Tuesday to pay white insurrectionists. This is white reparations.
“So when they tell you that they can’t figure it out, what they mean is they don’t want to figure it out,” Lemon said. “Because they have always known how to write the check.”
The meltdown came just one day after the Department of Justice formally unveiled the “Anti-Weaponization Fund,” following Trump’s decision to drop his massive lawsuit against the IRS over the leaking of his confidential tax returns during his first term in office — a disclosure that critics called politically motivated and that fueled years of accusations about federal agencies being weaponized against conservatives.
According to the DOJ announcement, the fund would allow individuals who believe they were unfairly targeted by federal law enforcement or prosecutorial overreach to apply for compensation or formal apologies.
“The Fund will have the power to issue formal apologies and monetary relief owed to claimants. Submission of a claim is voluntary. There are no partisan requirements to file a claim,” the DOJ statement explained. “Any money left when the Fund ceases operations will revert to the Federal Government.”
Lemon, however, wasn’t buying the “nonpartisan” pitch for a second.
He mocked Attorney General Todd Blanche and dismissed the administration’s rationale as “bullshit excuses,” suggesting the money would overwhelmingly benefit Trump voters and January 6 defendants.
“Wow, those white insurrectionist criminal terrorists are so disenfranchised that they have never had any sort of opportunities in America, never,” Lemon sneered sarcastically. “America doesn’t grant white people opportunities, never have. They only do it to minorities. Are you out of your f*cking mind, Todd Blanche?”
Lemon attempted to flip one of the most common arguments against reparations back onto conservatives themselves. “Should we be paying for something that we didn’t do? I didn’t go down in that damn Capitol, I didn’t walk in there,” he said.
The former cable star’s comments instantly lit up social media, where critics accused Lemon of trivializing reparations debates while once again reducing political disagreements to race. Supporters, meanwhile, praised him for calling out what they see as preferential treatment for Trump allies.
Trump has repeatedly blasted the prosecutions as politically motivated, and his administration has leaned heavily into claims that the federal government — from the FBI to the IRS — was weaponized against conservatives during the Biden era.
For Lemon, though, the mere idea that MAGA supporters could receive compensation was enough to trigger a full-on daytime meltdown — complete with racial accusations and profanity.

Someone should tell that “queer” to go back under the rock in crawled out from under!
