‘Are you saying that about me?!’ Jessica Tarlov snaps after Tyrus drops ‘B-word’ bomb on live TV

Fox News’ resident liberal foil Jessica Tarlov found herself in an awkward live-TV moment Friday after co-host Tyrus tossed out a not-so-subtle jab during yet another anti-Trump monologue — and Tarlov instantly wondered if the insult was aimed at her.

The spark flew during a heated segment on The Five, where the panel was discussing President Donald Trump and his rally appearance in New York’s Rockland County on behalf of Rep. Mike Lawler.

Tarlov launched into a familiar left-wing broadside, insisting Americans aren’t buying Trump’s economic message and mocking the president’s repeated references to cognitive testing.

“Today, telling people you have more money in your pockets when nobody thinks that — except the richest Americans at this point,” Tarlov said before veering into complaints about Trump discussing mental acuity tests. “The weird stuff again about the cognitive tests and how he’s acing things that they give to people who’ve had traumatic brain injuries.”

She then added, “No one knows there’s a B in the word dumb — we all know there’s a B in the word dumb.”

Tarlov also rattled off polling numbers she claimed show slipping support among parts of the Republican coalition, while attacking the administration over inflation, Iran policy, and stalled legislation on Capitol Hill. She cited criticism from unnamed GOP aides and referenced comments from Sen. Josh Hawley to argue Republicans have little to show legislatively despite controlling Washington.

The panel’s tension peaked when Tarlov quoted criticism of Trump’s recent moves and attempted to tie higher gas prices to U.S. military action involving Iran. That’s when Tyrus jumped in with a line that instantly changed the mood in the studio.

“There’s another word with a B that I would like to add to that,” Tyrus quipped, “and it’s in the front.”

Cue the screeching brakes.

“Are you saying that about me, Tyrus?!” Tarlov shot back, clearly caught off guard by where she thought the conversation was headed.

Tyrus quickly waved off the idea, insisting the remark was aimed at the Democratic Party, not his co-host.

“I’m talking about the Democratic party,” he replied, attempting to defuse the moment before it spiraled any further.

The exchange immediately lit up social media, where viewers joked that Tarlov may have accidentally revealed she knew exactly where the punchline was headed. Critics of the left also seized on the clip as another example of cable-news liberals dishing out insults all day long — until the jokes start coming back the other way.

The on-air dust-up comes as tensions on cable panels continue to rise amid the 2026 election cycle, with Trump dominating political coverage once again and Fox’s rotating cast increasingly turning “The Five” into must-watch daytime combat TV.
