Fresh claims emerge about Susie Wiles’ future as she weighs in on speculation

by

WASHINGTON — The anti-Trump rumor mill just took another embarrassing hit. After a week packed with wins for President Donald Trump, some members of the media apparently decided it was time to dust off one of their favorite storylines: anonymous sources predicting chaos inside the White House.

Their latest target? White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.

A report published Friday claimed Wiles was supposedly preparing to walk away from the administration after becoming “drained” by internal dynamics and frustrated by personnel decisions. The story leaned heavily on unnamed insiders and familiar whispers of West Wing dysfunction — a genre of reporting that has become almost a cottage industry during Trump’s political career.

There was only one problem. Wiles herself promptly detonated the narrative. Taking to X, the longtime Trump adviser dismissed the report as little more than make-believe dressed up as journalism.

“After an accomplishment filled week by President Trump, I have the pleasure of reading a piece of Friday fiction, courtesy of the Daily Mail,” Wiles wrote.

She then left little room for interpretation. “To be crystal clear, I am not going anywhere. I am honored and proud to serve President Trump, proud of our team and remain fully committed to advancing his agenda on behalf of the American people.”

The chief of staff also took direct aim at a pattern many Trump supporters know well: recurring predictions that his inner circle is perpetually on the verge of revolt. “Some in the media have spent a decade trying to manufacture drama around President Trump and people who work for him. They were wrong then, and they are wrong now.”

Her closing jab was brief but unmistakable. “See you Monday.”

The rumor arrived as the administration continues pushing through an aggressive second-term agenda and after Trump recently made headlines with key personnel decisions. The report alleged Wiles viewed one appointment as an affront and had grown weary of navigating competing personalities within the administration.

Yet Wiles’ public response suggested the only thing exhausted may be the media’s endless appetite for anonymous-source soap operas.

For Trump allies, the episode felt familiar. Since his first campaign launched in 2015, stories forecasting mass departures, internal collapse, and looming power struggles have appeared with remarkable regularity. Many never materialized.

Adding further context to the situation, Wiles has spent recent months confronting a far more serious challenge than Beltway gossip.

Earlier this year, Trump revealed that his chief of staff had been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. Despite the diagnosis, he said she intended to remain heavily involved in running the White House while undergoing treatment.

“Susie Wiles is an incredible Chief of Staff, a great person, and one of the strongest people I know but, unfortunately, she has been diagnosed with early stage breast cancer, and has decided to take on this challenge, IMMEDIATELY, as opposed to waiting,” Trump wrote. “She has a fantastic medical team, and her prognosis is excellent!”

The president praised her determination to continue serving despite the health battle. “During the treatment period, she will be spending virtually full time at the White House, which makes me, as President, very happy!”

Trump also highlighted what he described as her toughness and dedication to public service. “Her Strength and her Commitment to continue doing the job she loves, and does so well, while undergoing treatment, tells you everything you need to know about her.” The president concluded by calling Wiles one of his closest advisers and expressing confidence she would overcome the illness. “Susie, as one of my closest and most important advisors, is tough and deeply committed to serving the American People. She will soon be better than ever!”

Wiles says she’s staying put. The media said she was leaving. Somebody’s version of events isn’t surviving the weekend.
