World Cup fans discover ‘America’s favorite condiment,’ so Kraft unveils TSA-approved travel kit

by

America’s love affair with ranch dressing has reached a level so gloriously absurd that even the federal government is getting in on the joke. Now Kraft is doing what corporate America does best: turning a viral cultural moment into a product launch.

The food giant announced plans to release a limited-edition travel package designed specifically for ranch devotees who apparently refuse to cross international borders without their beloved dressing. The move comes after a wave of viral social media videos showed overseas soccer fans trying ranch for the first time during the ongoing global football festivities in the United States — often with reactions ranging from curiosity to outright disbelief.

Rather than letting the internet have all the fun, Kraft decided to lean into the moment.

The kit includes a TSA-approved clear quart-sized travel bag, enough individual ranch packets to equal — and even exceed — the amount found in a standard bottle of dressing, and a luggage tag styled after Kraft’s iconic ranch bottle. In other words, everything a true condiment patriot needs to declare allegiance while navigating airport security.

The craze has become so widespread that the Transportation Security Administration itself joined the conversation. In a social media post this week, the agency joked, “One World. One Ranch.”

The TSA also couldn’t resist poking fun at travelers who might consider chugging oversized bottles of dressing before reaching the security line in an attempt to dodge liquid restrictions.

For all the laughs, the agency reminded travelers of a less exciting reality: ranch dressing is still considered a liquid under federal security rules. That means full-size bottles remain subject to the same carry-on restrictions as shampoo, toothpaste and every other container that has sparked airport frustration for two decades.

The phenomenon highlights a cultural divide that many Americans never realized existed. While ranch dressing has become practically a food group in parts of the United States — appearing on everything from pizza and chicken wings to french fries and vegetables — much of the world remains baffled by the condiment’s popularity. Recent viral videos featuring foreign visitors sampling ranch have generated millions of views, with many expressing surprise at both its flavor and the near-religious devotion Americans show toward it.

Naturally, Kraft saw an opportunity.

Whether the travel kit is a clever marketing stunt or a genuine service to homesick ranch addicts, America exports many things to the world, and apparently ranch dressing is now one of them.

Kraft says additional details about availability and distribution will be released soon through the company’s social media channels.

In the meantime, ranch fans can celebrate knowing that someone, somewhere, finally answered the question nobody asked, How can I take as much ranch as possible through airport security without getting flagged?

Welcome to 2026.
